Recently I heard from my friends at Amity, that they undertake various industrial visits to get a first-hand feel of the real world of mass communication. They take on a yearly visit to the radio station “94.3 Radio One”.
The passion for the job is more important than the job itself. Hearing this from a real person in the industry is always more enriching than studying it in college and is an experience in itself.
Apart from that, the school has also added a newspaper agency and the Ramoji Film City to its list of industrial visits recently. During those visits as well students get an in-depth knowledge of the functioning of that media and how they deliver results.
All these experiences really help students to get an idea of what to expect in the real world outside the confines of the classroom and are a really good blend of study, fun, and entertainment.
