IIM Trichy is no less when it comes to infrastructural facilities. It is located in a serene area and has similar sports facilities.

So I will suggest you look at the bigger picture and don’t just get tempted by the IIM tag.
This would certainly not be easy for a non-engineer fresher to get management consulting roles in firms such as Accenture, McKinsey, Deloitte, EY, Capgemini etc.
Even if some companies do offer such roles, they care about your academics in your MBA, your work experience, your personality, and your background. They want to know if you are an engineer or not, they also want to know if you know about IT or not. There are various rounds of interviews lined up to test your skills and abilities.
So, yes there will be scope especially in IT consulting roles from these institutes. All you have to do is give your best efforts and leave the rest on the companies to decide what kind of professional they want.
Structured and disciplined study is best for SNAP 2024. Preparation tips:
The colleges that you have mentioned are quite old and reputed, leaving behind a history of a great placement record and a bright future.
Human Resources has become a promising field in today’s time. A good HR assures that the aspects of the business they work for proves to be fulfilled along with allowing the employees their own space wherein they give importance to the clients.
Based on certain parameters, allow me to compare all the three institutes so that it gets convenient to choose the B-School of your choice.

Average CTC | 18 LPA | 8 LPA | 10 LPA |

My suggestion would be to consider NMAT and even SNAP so that you get a better view to choose from. Some promising prospects are indeed offered by NMIMS and SIBM-P, but I believe you should go for that particular institute which is reputed for its HR department.
NMIMS is well known for its Finance specialization. Many might consider its huge Finance intake or the entire batch size, in general, a drawback. But if we compare the placement reports of SIBM Pune and NMIMS Mumbai, the latter is visited by most of the top Finance companies. Most companies in the Finance sector prefer NMIMS over other B Schools and students who are Finance enthusiasts too prefer NMIMS over other B Schools. The main reasons pertaining to this preference are
Finance companies give more preferences to your knowledge and inclination towards the domain rather than your work experience. The only drawback of NMIMS is its high fees and lack of campus life. But the Finance roles offered are good enough to overshadow this flaw.
Both NMIMS Bangalore and SIBM Pune are good management institutes with strong placement records. However, SIBM Pune may have certain advantages over NMIMS Bangalore. For example, SIBM Pune offers a unique MBA program that combines innovation and entrepreneurship, which is not offered by many other institutions in India. Additionally, the placement statistics for SIBM Pune show that students tend to receive higher averages and the highest salaries than students at NMIMS Bangalore.
Another advantage of SIBM Pune is its alumni network, which can provide valuable resources and connections for students as they start their careers. Additionally, SIBM Pune accepts the SNAP test for admission, while NMIMS Bangalore accepts the NMAT.
Of course, these are generalizations and individual experiences may vary. It is important to do your own research and weigh your individual goals and priorities when choosing between these two institutes. Factors such as location, campus culture, course offerings, and your own academic background and test scores can also impact your decision.
In conclusion, both NMIMS Bangalore and SIBM Pune are strong institutes for management education, and the best choice for you will depend on your individual needs and goals.
Your poor academic record can be a major hindrance, especially in summer placements because the companies know you haven’t done anything major yet in the B School. So I will suggest you some tips that might help you compensate for your low 12th class marks and get you a good internship offer
As far as the Final Placements are concerned, you will have to improve your profile to attract the best recruiters. Some tips to improve your general profile are
All this will help you make the most out of your MBA experience and also improve your profile enough to attract the best placement offers. The only key is to work hard relentlessly.
This is my personal opinion and is based upon the feedback.
I have considered placement and fees and hence the ranking. Hope this helps.
I have given the preference order of the above-mentioned B Schools. However please remember this is based on my personal opinions and not any official figures
1st: NMIMS is one of the best schools in Mumbai with fewer fees and great specialization in Finance. Its distinguishing feature is its small batch size which is extremely beneficial for excellent placements. The companies that visit offer the best roles to their students mainly because of their credibility and strong alumni network.
2nd: SPJIMR too is located in Mumbai and is the second-best School after JBMINS. Its students intake is very good due to the strict selection process. The placements are at par with JBIMS but the fees are a bit higher. It's ranked in the top 3 in Operation and IT specialization in India.
3rd: One of the oldest institutes for MBA, IIFT is a good choice owing to its strong brand name and small batch size.
4th: SIBM Pune is a blend of everything; a Good campus, good corporate competition, hostel life, good infrastructure, faculty, and placement. It gives you an amazing MBA experience l.
5th: NMIMS Mumbai is great for MBA and is at par with SIBM. But I have ranked it the last owing to its high fees and larger batch size that requires a lot of competition during placements.
So the ranking is
NMIMS>SPJIMR>IIFT>SIBM Pune>NMIMS Mumbai
The process usually begins at the end of the month of July. As soon as the new batch enters, all the committees and clubs are required to conduct their induction sessions to brief the batch about their respective committee and club. When all the sessions are done, Committees start their process, and it could be a common process for the society, or they could have their individual processes. The final round of the entire selection process usually involves voting. So, it’s always advisable to make good relationships with your peers. Especially if you want to be a part of Placement’s Committee or Media cell.
