BS MS from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali

Difficulty level of BITSAT is higher compared to GUJCET and MHTCET. You will need more practice to score in BITSAT. It also has negative marking, which makes scoring more difficult.

In BITSAT, students are required to answer 130 questions within 3 hours. There are four sections in the examinations, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and English.

In MHTCET and GUJCET, the questions are from PCM only. MHTCET has no negative marking as well.

The CMAT exam is conducted by the National Test Agency and is accepted by many top colleges for their MBA programs compared to the MAT exam. CMAT also has a greater number of colleges that accept CMAT scores for their admission process. CMAT also enjoys better recognition compared to the MAT exam. Many tier 1 CMAT colleges enjoy better brand recognition in the industry. What should I prepare for: IAS or IES?

AD
Alip De Posted On : January 14th, 2021
NIT Raipur (2018)

You should prepare for IES. This will be a shock to you since most people will suggest the same. Here’s why –

  • It is easier to qualify for IES when compared to IAS. There’s more chance of qualifying it even in the first attempt. Whereas, there are many students who are brilliant and hardworking that aren’t able to qualify for IAS. It requires more patience.
  • IES syllabus is very close to the engineering syllabus, making it easier to grasp and understand.
  • You don’t need to have excellent writing skills or sharp memory to have an edge over other competitors.
  • Even if you fail in IES, there still will be an option to give GATE and get into PSUs. With IAS, there is no backup plan if you fail to qualify.
  • When you are preparing for IES you are basically preparing an optional subject for IAS as well. So in future, if you want to prepare for IAS you will have an optional subject ready along with a job.

You have a choice between good with a high probability of selection and better with a low probability of selection. So going for the option that has the maximum probability of selection along with a backup plan in case of a failure is a better choice.

Which exam is tougher to crack: CLAT or AILET?

IG
Indrita Ghosh Posted On : January 14th, 2021
National Law University Delhi (Batch of 2022)

AILET is a tougher exam compared to CLAT. AILET is held by the National Law University of Delhi while the CLAT exam is for admission in NLUs, IP University, and many more.

Reasons:

  • The number of applicants for the AILET exam is more than for CLAT. Thus, the difficulty level and the competition increases.
  • Number of seats: 80 seats are offered in the AILET exam while in CLAT, there are around 2538 seats in which 724 seats are available in CLAT PG. The seats are divided according to the reservation policy of the NLUs.There is only one participating institute under AILET, that is, the National Law University, Delhi.

AILET is a cut-throat examination and chances to get a seat in NLU Delhi is minimal. Around 17000 candidates apply for the exam for only 80 seats thus, the difficulty level gets higher every year.

In CLAT, almost 18 students compete for a seat whereas, in AILET, there are around 203 students competing for a seat in NLU, Delhi. Although the same students who apply for AILET also apply for CLAT, the competition to get admission in NLU Delhi is tough, since it is one of the top 5 National Law Universities in India.

Which exam is much tougher IBPS PO or IBPS SO?

MD
Meghna Deb Posted On : January 16th, 2021
MBA in Finance, Indian School of Business (2019)

The answer to this question is which exam is much tougher IBPS PO or IBPS SO, vary from candidate to candidate and even there are factors like competition, specialization and knowledge which decides the success in both exams. Any graduate candidate can apply for IBPS PO, but for IBPS SO a candidate needs to have specialization in particular fields for which they are applying.

There are a huge number of applications received every year for IBPS PO and generally a candidate is placed in fields like Planning, Credit, Operations,Administration etc after clearing IBPS Po. Whereas IBPS SO candidates after clearing the exams posted in specific fields like IT officer for IT Department, Agriculture Officer for Rural Department and vice versa.

The reason behind higher competition in IBPS PO is due to these reasons -

  • In order to get the post of SO a candidate compulsorily need to have a specific Educational degree in fields like IT, MBA or Agriculture etc. due to specific requirements of this particular job. But for PO only graduation is required which simply increases competition in PO and attracts more candidates to apply for the same.
  • There are a limited number of seats for SO which is upto higher levels only. While for IBPS PO the opportunities are infinite in different sectors which includes banking as well. That’s why candidates prefer to clear IBPS PO and explore the endless career opportunities.

So both IBPS SO and IBPS PO are exams of the same level, the only difference is the candidate's interest in it. Full dedication, hard work, right guidance and better preparation can help candidates clear both the exams with ease be it IBPS PO or IBPS SO.
