ISB guarantees placements to up to 90% of the students with an average package of 28-29 LPA. Are XLRI and ISB too particular about past academics, like the IIM's?

- The major route for XLRI admission into the PGDM programmes is the XAT, which is followed by an individual interview. For the PGDM-GM programme, XLRI also accepts GMAT and GRE scores. 88 to 95 percentile is the XLRI XAT Cutoff.
- But along with the XAT scores, Individuals possessing good academic background along with relevant work experience and extra-curricular activities stays in the upper hand.
- Your former academic standing and how you did on the GMAT/GRE test help ISB (Indian School of Business) to determine how well you can handle the program's demands. Along with the total GMAT/GRE score, the institute also takes into account grades from the 12th grade, graduation grades, post-graduate grades, and certification scores, as appropriate.
While the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) do consider class 10th and 12th marks as part of their admission process, XLRI and ISB prioritize other factors like entrance test scores, work experience, and interviews. How do I get into the ISB Hyderabad? Is 2+ years of experience enough for that?
People with bachelor's degrees or equivalent qualifications can apply for ISB Hyderabad. You will also need a valid GMAT/GRE score. ISB Hyderabad cutoff for GMAT is 600, and for GRE is 311.
You don’t need work experience to be eligible for the course. But having relevant experience of 2 years will certainly help your application.
What should I choose, ISB Hyderabad PGP, IIM-A PGPX, INSEAD, Booth Chicago, or LBS?
To make a choice from any of the colleges, you must judge practically by calculating the net benefit for each school. This is because all the intangible aspects like brand value, networking opportunity, learning, etc will definitely manifest in the expected earning potential after the completion of your MBA.
Firstly, calculate your present earning potential by adding your ‘Current salary’ and expected increase and what is the maximum you can earn in this field (also, how many years it will take?) - Say you can reach up to X in 10 years and then it’s more or less constant.
Now, Calculate the investment for each college -
Cost / Investment = Fees + Stay + exchange program + opportunity cost (current salary * number of months)
ROI after MBA= Expected Salary ranges in the industry you want to work in. What is the maximum earning potential you can reach?
It should be more than X or if it's X in fewer years than your current state, which shows that your investment in that college will be worth it in the future. This way will definitely help you invest in the right place.
How does an MBA degree from ISB compare to FMS, XLRI, JB ?
ISB PGPM is a one-year-long program. This program is better suited for students with few years of work experience. Compared to the other institutes, ISB charges a higher course fee. The total course fee for PGPM is INR 36.30 Lakhs.
The placement record of the institute is pretty good. ISB placements 2022 ended with an average CTC of around INR 34.07 LPA.
Compared to FMS, XLRI, JB, ISB is relatively new. So, it has a smaller alumni network.
