How is IITD MBA compared to IIM Trichy/ Ranchi? And how are the placements at IIT Delhi in Operations?
My friend recently joined DMS, IIT Delhi to pursue MBA despite getting calls from almost all the new IIMs. She based her decision on the following factors

The placements for the Operations and Supply Chain accounted for 17.3%. The highest number of students had work experience in the Information Technology industry followed by the Supply Chain & Operations industry.

What should I choose between MDI Gurgaon and IIM Trichy?
Without any doubt, I will suggest you choose MDI Gurgaon over IIM Trichy. Some points that favor my opinion are
- Welcomes better Brands for recruitment
- Better profiles
- Offers highest packages
- Summer placements are over within a few months
- Only students of a higher ranked B School like MDI will get a chance to participate in competitions.
- The pandemic resulted in many offers being revoked. Yet for MDI it was just 3-4 out of 300.
I think these points are enough to convince you to join MDI Gurgaon.
Would it be a mistake if I choose IIM Trichy over IIM Shillong?
IIM Shillong has recently celebrated its 13th year, and this year's placements have been better than in previous years. These placements have been more successful than those at IIM Trichy, and the roles offered have also been of a higher quality. In terms of infrastructure, IIM Trichy has an advantage, but the faculty at both institutes is roughly comparable. Based on current trends, it is advised to consider IIM Shillong for its strong placement record and improving performance.
While placements at IIM Trichy are not bad and students can expect to receive good roles and pay, IIM Shillong currently holds the lead in terms of success in placements. Some students at IIM Trichy have even left the institute for IIM Shillong due to its stronger placement performance.
What are the chances of getting loan in IIM Trichy? Does it need collateral?
The chances of getting an Education loan at IIM Trichy are high. There is an SBI Branch inside the campus of Trichy. The process is very easy and can be completed within a day.
The best part is you don't need collateral and the interest rates are very low. All you need to do is make sure there is no clause for availing insurance, or else you have to pay extra charges.
Is EGMP from IIM Trichy worth studying?
The EGMP or Executive General Management Program aims at providing comprehensive knowledge of business that helps managers enhance their decision-making skills.

The course is suitable for those who
- cannot afford to leave their jobs permanently for studying
- Are not interested in placements but rather join the course for the sole purpose of enhancing their skills and acquiring better knowledge
- Want an IIM tag to improve their job prospects
- Want to explore various aspects of business and functional areas in any Industry in order to change their industry

Which is better an MBA from IIT Roorkee or from IIM Udaipur/Trichy?

Does IIM Trichy have students with an 89 percentile?
Students can get into IIM Trichy with a percentile as low as 89 only under the following conditions
- He/she either belongs to the NC-OBC or EWS category (still they need to have a good academic background, work experience, or diversity factor)
- If the candidates' profile is spectacular is other aspects
- For any other category since their cutoff is even lower than 89, such a percentile will surely guarantee them a seat.
The criteria is almost the same for the other IIMs with a slight difference based on their rankings and reputation.
Which one is better for the long term: an MBA from IIM Shillong, IIM Trichy or SJMSoM IIT B?
IIT B is particularly known for its specialization in Operations. Although it has a decent specialization in other domains like Marketing and IT as well, it is for Operations that people usually choose it. Some consider IIM Shillong or Trichy a better option for Finance. But I personally think that SJMSom IIT B is overall a better choice.
I cannot choose one between IIM Trichy and Shillong as both are at an equal level at this point. Despite being new, Trichy has managed to be in the league of Shillong. It has been growing at a fast pace and may even surpass IIM Shillong in the near future.
So if I am to rank the above options it has to be
SJMSom>IIM Shillong=IIM Trichy
Will the new upcoming IIMs like (Rohtak, Ranchi, Trichy) overtake the SPJIMR in a few years?
Except for IIM Rohtak, the new upcoming IIMs like Trichy and Ranchi face tough competition with SP Jain. They are almost in the same league based on certain parameters and are bound to overtake SP Jain in the future. Let’s discuss some of these parameters
- Students profile: IIM Trichy takes in students with a slightly higher CAT score than SP Jain thereby the quality of the batch is better.
- Faculty: The faculty of IIM Trichy is comparable with SP Jain in many areas.
- Placements: Although the placements at SP Jain are better than these new IIMs, they have been stagnant for the past few years. Moreover, the placements at IIM Trichy and Ranchi are getting better every year.
- Growth potential: SP Jain has a decent growth potential but not more than the new IIMs. Their potential looks more promising.
- Alumni base: SP Jain has an upper hand in this aspect due to its early establishment.
- Location: SP Jain is at a better location than the new IIMs and they might suffer because of this. Yet some consider the city of Trichy not too far away from Mumbai and the disadvantage does not seem that huge.
All in all, there are high chances of the new IIMs taking over SP Jain anytime in the near future.
What do I choose: IIM Rohtak or IIM Trichy?
You should apply to IIM Trichy. They are more accurate, the staff there is excellent, and you take the two-year program well-prepared for a career that moves at a remarkable rate. Your case will also benefit greatly from your increased ability to handle work-related tasks.
IIM Trichy's faculty is among the best in India. They have extensive experience and are experts in their respective fields. A lot of emphasis is placed on practical knowledge. Education is conducted using case studies, group projects, and oral presentations. Industry exposure is greatly enhanced by the guest lectures of subject-matter experts. Overall, a very good faculty group.
The highest and average packages offered during the 2022 placement drive, according to the final IIM Trichy placement report, were INR 34 LPA and INR 17.01 LPA, respectively.
