Why is the fee of NUJs so high compared to NLSIU and Nalsar?

PG
Prakash Gupta Posted On : March 14th, 2022
studied at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad

There are no specific reasons as such for the high course fees of NUJS. NUJS Kolkata charges INR 11.49 lakhs for a BALLB (Hons) degree. But people usually don’t question it. Also, most students who attend NUJS can afford the fees. There are a good number of NRIs in each batch. Students from SC, ST categories have many scholarship options to fund their degrees.

Also, NUJS offers great recruitment opportunities. Students from NUJS Kolkata received the highest CTC of INR 22 LPA during the 2021 placement drive. This is also one of the reasons why people don’t question the high course fee.

Is XIMB HRM worth the 17 lakh fee? Will the XUB thing have any impact?

AD
Arka Dutta Posted On : September 8th, 2022
M.B.A. from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar

There is no such course as XIMB HRM. The HR School of XUB, XAHR, offers the HRM course. Pursuing this degree is certainly worth the money invested. Xavier School of Human Resource Management placements has an average CTC of INR 12.9 LPA. While the highest CTC goes up to INR 22.5 LPA. Many students get salary packages in INR 20 LPA slab.

The XUB thing hasn’t made any major impacts. The faculty is same, the selection criteria are same, and so is the list of recruiting companies.

Is it worth paying the higher fees to go to ISB? Why?

TK
T Umesh Kumar Posted On : January 30th, 2023
AMPH from Indian School of Business

My answer is going to be extremely biased as my sister has been a victim of ISB Hyderabad’s high fees and poor placement opportunities. This answer is meant to shed some light on this issue.

ISB Hyderabad MBA fees are currently INR 41,98,000 (plus GST) while the batch size is around 900. The Institute has failed to cater to the huge batch size and has witnessed a decline in the quality of education and placements in ISB Hyderabad.

The best roles are very scarce and are given only to the students with the top grades. Others end up with below-average packages. As far as the specialization is concerned, Finance jobs are almost non-existent at ISB Hyderabad. Consulting is one of the leading domains here and the top 3 firms do visit the campus. But the number of roles offered by them is not enough for the huge batch.

The other roles offered are mediocre and not at par with the hefty fees 900 students have paid. They expect better packages and after realizing the actual scenario feel wronged.

ISB Hyderabad MBA is not suitable if

  • you earn around 16 Llacs with more than 3 years of work experience
  • you are a software engineer in top product companies
  • you are already from a good engineering college like IITs, BITS, and Top NITs

So we can safely conclude that ISB Hyderabad is an overrated Institute and its rankings are misleading. The reality of the institute begs to differ.

What is the fee structure of IPM from IIM INDORE?

Yatika Mehla Posted On : January 22nd, 2024

The IPM fee structure of IIM Indore was last updated on 16th June 2023, for the batch of 2023-28.

For Resident Indian students, the course fee for the first 3 years is Rs. 5 Lakhs per year. This fee is Rs. 7.5 Lakhs per year for International students. Other fees include a Medical Insurance of Rs. 711 each year, a mess deposit of Rs. 54,000 each year, and a refundable caution deposit of Rs. 50,000 in the first year. The caution deposit is refunded after completing the 5 year course. The course fee for 4th and 5th year will be the same as the updated PGP fees for 2026-2028 batch.

The cost of lodging, tuition, internet facilities and library is all combined into the total course fee for each year. The course fee does not include textbook cost. The course and mess charges are payable in three installments. IPM students, during the first 3 years, get a shared accommodation. Single room accommodation is made available for 4th and 5th year students.

This is the complete breakdown of fee structure for IPM at IIM Indore.

Does the fee structure change according to marks in NALSAR or AY NLU?

AD
Anurima Dutta Posted On : August 31st, 2021
B.A. LLB(Hons.) from Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (2021)

The fee structure which has been implemented at DS NLU is the same for everyone except for the students who are admitted into the institution based on various quotas like NRIs, Vacancies, Upgradation, and the other ones which are applicable at the institution.

My friend is currently pursuing a course at DS NLU so I have a brief idea about the fee structure there. The marks that you scored in your sessional or semester examinations of your respective course would not have any impact on the fees chargeable by the institute. The fee depends on the quota through which you get admission to the institution.

If you belong to the general category and are domicile of India, then the fee which will be charged from you would be the same just like everyone else from your category for a specific course. I believe that a similar structure is followed throughout all the institutions that come under NLU.
