IIT Mandi completed the placement drive for 2019 with 82% of students successfully placed in the top companies. The institute also witnessed a 50% increase in the average salary offered to the students. A total of 45 companies took part in the 2019 placement drive with the CSE department getting 90% placement. The top recruiters were Wipro, Microsoft, Cortex, Amazon with an average salary of 13.5 LPA. Overall the placement in IIT Mandi is good for the CSE department and the number is slowly increasing every year.

IIT Bhubaneswar witnessed a huge increase in their placement trends. In 2019, around 89 companies visited the campus and 90% of the students got the placements. The CSE department got the 100% placement with an average salary of 10-35 LPA. The top recruiters that participated were Google, Accenture, Amazon, Adobe, Dell, Capgemini, etc. In IIT Bhubaneswar, the CSE department placement from the previous years is good and the placement rate is slowly increasing at a gradual rate.

IIT Jodhpur also released their placement report for 2019. Around 75% of the students got the placement with the CSE department getting the highest placement of 100%. The top companies participated in the campus placements were Microsoft, Google, IBM, Morgan Stanley, etc. The average salary offered to the students was 16 lakhs.

Despite being new IITs, these three IITs are good in terms of placements and academics for CSE. Before choosing among these IITs, you should take advice from the seniors at these institutes, explore different aspects and then choose accordingly.

IIT Bhubaneswar ranks 17th in the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. Civil Engineering Department is one of the core engineering departments at IIT Bhubaneswar, having a tuition fee of 2,13,568 per annum. A JEE ranking of 6000 to 13000 is required for entering in a civil engineering course in IIT Bhubaneswar. In 2019, Civil Engineering saw 89% placement with an average annual salary package of 11 lakhs per annum. It has a total of 145 faculty members who are highly qualified and Ph.D. holders. There are two hostels, a gym, a shopping complex, Healthcare centre, common rooms, media entertainment rooms, etc.

IIT Mandi ranks 20th in the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. The Civil Engineering course requires an average of 75% in aggregate in Class XII board examination. The highest placement offers in IIT Mandi are for the Computer Engineering Department followed by the Civil Engineering Department. In 2019, a total of 83% of students were placed from the Civil Engineering Department. The Average annual salary package offered to engineering graduates is 13 lakhs per annum. IIT Mandi has hostel facilities, library, canteen, bakery, sports grounds, etc.

NIT Warangal ranks 26th in the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is a much older establishment than IIT Bhubaneswar and IIT Mandi. In 2019, NIT Warangal saw placement of 644 students from the undergraduate programs with a total of 81% placement. Out of 98 eligible candidates, 80 were successfully placed with an average annual salary package of 6 lakhs per annum. Facilities like Computer centers, Libraries, Healthcare centers, banks, and ATMs, etc. are in and around the campus.

Thus, it probably depends on the JEE ranking, your location, preference of the campus, etc. Ultimately it depends on you which college will be preferable for your study.

IIT Bhubaneswar has its record placement in 2019, where 90% of the students placed in top companies. The department of CSE got 100% placement and metallurgical and materials science engineering recorded 90% placement. Almost 89 companies visited the campus and offered handsome packages to the candidates. The average package offered was 11.45 LPA and 68% of the M.Tech students got placed. The top companies were Amazon, Google, HP, Accenture, Jio, etc.

IIT Mandi, on the other hand, has also good placement stats with 82% placement in reputed organizations. The salary offered to the students in 2019 was 50% higher than in the previous years. A total of 75 companies visited the campus with top recruiters like Microsoft, Amazon, Optum, Robert Bosch, etc. The average package offered was 13.5 LPA. The CSE got the highest placement with 93% followed by civil engineering with 83%.

So both these institutes are very good in terms of placements and academics. The decision is on the students which institute they would choose based on their choice of branch.

For Computer Science and Engineering, both the IITs are good choices. According to NIRF Rankings, IIT Bhubaneswar ranks at 26 and IIT Mandi at 20 among the top 30 IITs in India.

The placement record for IIT Mandi shows that in 2019 the highest placement offers have been made in the Computer Science and Engineering branch. A total of 93.1% of students got placement offers from the CSE department. During 2019-20 placement, few of the companies that offered pre placements at IIT Mandi include Microsoft, (the top PPO recruiter with eleven PPOs), Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Robert Bosch, Optum, SMS Datatech, Tonichi Insatsu, etc.

Despite being a new IIT, the Computer Science and Engineering branch in IIT Bhubaneswar is doing quite well placement wise. In fact, CSE is the one branch in IIT Bhubaneswar which had 100% placement in 2019. Top recruiters like Amazon, HP, Indian Oil, Jio, Adobe, Renault, Accenture, Affine came to recruit students from this IIT last year.

Both IIT Bhubaneswar and IIT Mandi offer good faculty and decent placement for their CSE department. So, choose one according to your convenience.
 

Despite being among the new IITs, CSE in IIT Bhubaneswar is doing well. In fact, it is the one department that holds a record of 100% placement in 2019. The students of CSE have received attractive salary packages ranging from 10-35 lakh per annum.

CSE at IIT ISM Dhanbad holds decent placement records also this department is pretty active and conducts events and activities throughout the year. According to the placement highlights of 2019, 90.23% of students from Computer Science Engineering got placed. THE maximum CTC offered was INR 39.5 LPA. In this IIT, there are weekly, monthly and yearly events for helping the students improve. CODEISM is a coding club established to improve coding and conducts classes weekly. SPEAK UP, is another initiative established to improve speaking and presentation skills. CSES is the society maintained by the CSE Department, conducts Quiz events, Coding Contests, and many other events. RAIT     (Recent Advances in Information Technology) International Conference is held once every two years where many speakers and delegates come to present their work in IIT ISM Dhanbad.

CSE at IIT Mandi is pretty good and is well equipped with good faculty. The 2019 placement highlight shows CSE was the department with the highest number of placements. A total of 93.1% of students got placed. The average salary package offered is around 12–13 LPA. There are also decent internship opportunities available.In the past students even got foreign internships offers from this IIT. The coding culture in IIT Mandi is developing at a good pace. Alumnus of this IIT was selected for Google Summer of Code.

In IIT Indore, the placement for CSE is comparatively higher than rest other streams, especially in the computer science and technology sector.The average salary package in the last few years has been recorded to be 15 LPA. Major recruiters are Google, Amazon, Microsoft, DE-Shaw, IBM India, Samsung R&D India, CISCO, Bosch, GE India, Barclays, Deloitte, TCS, and Infosys. According to past records, the highest stipend received by the student was 1.50 lakhs per month in the summer internship.

All the four IITs, IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, IIT Mandi, and IIT Indore are good institutes for CSE. So, choose wisely according to convenience.
