Management quota seats are seats at colleges in India that are set aside for members of the management, trust, clergy, and VIPs. According to the institution, there are between 5 and 10% of seats available. The college and trust have complete discretion over who gets to sit in these seats. The existence of management quota seats in institutes like IMT Ghaziabad, IMI Delhi, and MDI Gurgaon is not well known. For students who are unable to get admission on their own through the entrance tests, this opportunity is available. The fees for these seats are not disclosed by the institutes on any platform. For admission to the management quota seat, you have to contact these colleges at the phone numbers provided on their websites. XIMB-HR and XAHR are both one and the same. The former has been renamed to the latter. XAHR ranks above IMI New Delhi in HR. Not because of the placement prospectus but because of the faculties. Most of the faculties are from have great industry experience.

The course is as per the global standards of SHRM. They provides 100% placement in both finals and summers.

You also get the experience of the outbound learning program organized by TSAF or TATA steel adventure foundation. The new campus is a little outside the main city and the only advantage of IMI New Delhi is its location. XIMB-HR and XAHR are both one and the same.

Which one between IMI Delhi B&FS and TAPMI BKFS should one choose?

SD
Sagarika Dasgupta Posted On : May 1st, 2023
PGDM from TAPMI

If you want to specialize in finance and want a career in that area, you should choose TAPMI PGDM(B&FS).

If you're unsure which area to go into, you should choose PGDM. In the first three terms, you'll learn about all the different fields, and then in the second year, you'll choose your specialization.

Having said that, let me tell you that if your choice is based on a brand name, you need to sit down and think about what you want to get out of the next two years while you are getting your degree.

If you stay in NCR, you'll always have a lot of chances to work outside of your schoolwork.

For IMT G, there are companies coming for international placements but their numbers are limited. For IMI Delhi and Tapmi too the number is limited to 4-5 international offers being rolled out. The figures are not consistent throughout the years and there might be an increase or decrease in the number of offers year on year.

Which is better, IMI Delhi PGDM or UBS Chandigarh?

TB
Tanaya Bose Posted On : July 9th, 2021
IMI Delhi (2018)

I have a few friends from IMI Delhi and they vouch for their PGDM course. Here are some of the things that you need to know about the PGDM program offered by IMI.

  • Location: As it is based in Delhi, the location is definitely an advantage. There are perks to living in the city with MNCs in close vicinity. There are also multiple hangout options and tourist spots you can explore.
  • Accreditation: Being the country’s first corporate-sponsored B school has major advantages. It is associated with AMBA which puts the college in the league of Global MBAs.
  • Faculty: The faculties are well-qualified and experienced in their fields which makes IMI a good choice for Management programs.
  • Student exchange: With strong ties to global prominent B-schools, you will be given the advantage to spend a trimester abroad to study in a B-school of your choice.
  • Alumni base: The alumni from the college are spread all over various industries and domains. This definitely plays as an advantage to the college’s credibility and rapport.
  • Batch strength: A smaller batch strength is always better as far as placements are concerned. IMI has a very good batch strength with PGDM HR having a class strength of just 60 students.
  • Peer learning: With a filtered admission process, the college chooses the best minds of the country. Therefore, you will have a good peer learning experience.
  • Placements: Based on the recent trends, an average package of about INR 12.7 lakhs per annum with 100% placements can be expected from the institute.

If you need more information, you can refer to TIME’s ranking and make a decision accordingly. Overall, IMI is a really good option. You should research well before going ahead.
