In November 2023, IIT Indore announced a recruitment drive for faculty positions. The recruitment was for the positions of Assistant Professor Grade I & Assistant Professor Grade II. Heres how you can apply to the IIT Indore recruitment positions.

As a current student of IIT Indore, I must tell you that the fests at IIT Indore are really vibrant and energetic. We recently attended the 18th edition of Fluxus Fest in March 2024. It is the annual techno-cultural fest at IIT Indore.

Apart from performances from popular artists like Pineapple Express, Sachin Jigar, etc, the fest also provided a platform for students to present their skills, share ideas, and commemorate the spirit of creativity. We also enjoyed good food from prominent food partners like McDonald's, Domino’s, Hide Out, etc.

The best part about the IIT Indore mathematics department is that they have recently started offering a BTech program in Mathematics and Computing, from 2023 onwards. This programme is specifically intended for undergraduates who have a strong interest in computers and mathematics.

As of the academic year 2023, several IIT Indore Mathematics graduates have secured PhD positions in top universities like the University of South Florida, IIT Delhi, NISER, State University of New York, etc.

The IIT Indore Mathematics department has undergone several developments and is currently one of the best departments in IIT Indore. The department's primary goals are to offer an extensive curriculum, pertinent research, and professional prospects of mathematics in India and abroad.

The Learning Resource Centre of IIT Indore is fully equipped with E-Learning Resources. Knimbus is the e-library of IIT Indore, and it provides open access to e-resources (that are accessed by one-point search) for all the subscribed and selected individuals. This is a remote-access library. IIT Indore also has a library mobile app that provides access to e-resources on the subscribers’ smartphones. To use this library mobile app, you must have a smartphone with internet access.

At present, the IIT Indore e-library has a collection of 40,500+ books. The library has literature and general interest books, books on Gandhian studies, Hindi books, children’s books, Matrubhasha collections, and more. The e-library has an open-access system.

At present, IIT Indore's Chemistry Department has 20 faculty members and approximately 100 PhD. students. All the faculty members of the department are extremely qualified and motivated, with a strong commitment to teaching and research.

Here are some important teachers from the Chemistry department of IIT Indore and their interests & achievements-

• Prof. Rajneesh Misra is a Professor of Organic Chemistry and Organometallics. His research interest is the design and synthesis of conjugated organic molecules for organic electronics and photonics such as solar cells, field-effect transistors, light-emitting diodes, and multi-photon absorption. One of his publications is "Near-IR absorbing 1,1,4,4-tetracyanobutadiene-functionalized phenothiazine sulfones†”.
• Prof. Suman Mukhopadhyay is a professor of Coordination and Organometallic Chemistry in Biology, Catalysis, and Medicinal Applications. He completed his PhD from Jadavpur University in 2004. His research interests are Transition-metal Coordination Chemistry and Organometallic Chemistry in Biology, Catalysis, and Medicinal Applications; Porous Organic Polymers (POPs) and their applications. His important publication is- “Exploring Redox-Active Ionic Porous Organic Polymer in Environmental Remediation & Electrochromic Application”.
• Prof. Apurba K. Das and Prof. Sampak Samanta are the top faculty members of the Chemistry department of IIT Indore. 

Overall, the Chemistry faculty at IIT Indore is very experienced and highly driven. 

IIT Indore was established in 2009 by the Government of India, and it is located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Initially, IIT Indore was functioning from the Institute of Engineering and Technology of Devi Ahilya University. It was mentored by IIT Bombay.
