Does MDI Gurgaon provide placement assistance to its FPM students?
The MDI Gurgaon FPM program is structured in such a way that its students are given access to the corporate world owing to their constant commitment to research.

Yes, students who take the MDI Gurgaon PGP-IM program and go to Europe for an exchange program are offered jobs and internships. There is no major distinction between the jobs offered to MDI students and the jobs offered to ESCP students. But the only discrimination they might come across is the lack of language proficiency which is a major factor for jobs. I have listed down some tips you can adopt to help in this regard

So yes, as an Indian you will face slight disadvantages over the locals at the European university but these challenges can be handled well to make your way.
Do people from MDI Gurgaon get to work abroad?
Yes, students from MDI Gurgaon PGDM program get to work abroad through the exchange program offered. If you go through the LinkedIn profiles of the alumni, you will find more than 3000 working outside India. This hints at the vast opportunities offered to MDI students to work abroad.
During summer internships, companies like Coke, Godrej, and Dabur send their interns abroad for projects. The Tolaharan group has also sent many students outside for jobs. A few alumni working in consulting firms like EY also work on a project in the London office.
Consulting firms usually cater to foreign and domestic clients separately. For instance, Deloitte India and Deloitte US deal with national and international clients respectively. So if you are working in Deloitte US you will be dealing with foreign clients. Another big name Bain Capability Center(BCC) deals with foreign clients and comes to the campus to offer jobs that require you to travel abroad.

What is better for a PGP IM: MDI or IIM Rohtak?
Some of my friends studied in both these colleges. According to them, MDI Gurgaon is definitely better than IIM Rohtak. Let me give you some reasons to support their statement and why PGP IM will be a good choice.
- ESCP Europe offered MBA degrees to MDI PGP IM students who started their global careers after graduation.
- Most of the students at MDI receive internships.
- About 60% of students got international internship offers and 40% got offers in India.
- Some of the companies include Puma, Nestle, Phillips, Uber, Edelweiss, etc.
- Studying at MDI is like an investment.
- You invest for 2 years, securing yourself for the next 30-35 years.
- MDIs brand name and alumni strength defeat IIM Rohtak anyday.
Thus it is suggested that you go for the MDIs PGP IM course as it will provide enough exposure in your chosen industry. Do not only rely on the IIM tag, check for better faculty, alumni and academics while considering a college.
How much salary do the last 50 MBA students get at final placements at B Schools like IIM Indore, IIFT Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, SIBM Pune, etc.?
Colleges invite companies for placements on the basis of the preference list created by the students themselves. This means that the most preferred companies visit in the initial days while the least preferred companies visit towards the end. This eventually means that the last of the batch gets placed by mediocre companies.
Now here is a fact, sometimes the companies visiting at the end in order to get higher preference and attract maximum students, offer high packages that are at par with the preferred companies.
My uncle was a placement coordinator at IIFT a few years ago and gave me an insight into the placement scenario of such B Schools. Numerically speaking if the median salary of a particular B School is X, then the packages offered to the last 59 students would be around 0.6X-0.7X.

What should I choose between MDI Gurgaon and IIM Trichy?
Without any doubt, I will suggest you choose MDI Gurgaon over IIM Trichy. Some points that favor my opinion are
- Welcomes better Brands for recruitment
- Better profiles
- Offers highest packages
- Summer placements are over within a few months
- Only students of a higher ranked B School like MDI will get a chance to participate in competitions.
- The pandemic resulted in many offers being revoked. Yet for MDI it was just 3-4 out of 300.
I think these points are enough to convince you to join MDI Gurgaon.
What should I prepare for my interview with MDI Gurgaon?
Interviews are unpredictable. They test the whole personality of a person by creating a pressuring environment and sometimes by grilling and cross-questioning
- You should go through and brush up on your undergraduate subjects.
- Prepare well for HR questions such as Tell us something about yourself, Why MBA etc.
- Besides the above points, you should also be ready to answer Why MDI?
- You should know about Haryana and the state where you were born and raised.
- Prepare good reasons for a Gap year or low grades if the case.
- Questions related to work experience and projects you worked on.
- Brush up on general awareness and current affairs
To be honest, you could be asked anything to see how skilled and patient you are.
What is the minimum percentile to get a call from FMS Delhi and MDI Gurgaon?
For FMS, you need to get 99+ for a call and at least 99.5 to convert because they give a lot of weightage on CAT Percentile (50%).
For MDI, you need 94+ to get a call with sectionals over 85+, and you need anything above 98+ to convert if you don't have any work experience.
Which is the best among IIM Lucknow, Kozhikode, FMS and MDI (mainly in terms of placement and learning)? Commerce background with good academic background and 3 years experience.
Having read some reviews online about IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, FMS, and MDI, here are some things I got to know which might be useful to you.
- IIM Lucknow and IIM Kozhikode both are older brands. They have a proper recruiter base, alumni network, campus life, infrastructure, and better placements.
- FMS also offers low-cost and decent placement facilities, but students of FMS claim to have no campus life and any eventful experience.
- MDI is considered to be decent. Thankfully they have a better and more happening campus life, unlike FMS. Bain Capability Network recruits at MDI while Bain & Co. go to the other mentioned colleges.
So the order of preference would be IIM Lucknow > IIM Kozhikode > FMS > MDI. This is as per the major rankings including Times B-School categorization. So select the one that matches most of your interests.
