Both IIT BHU and IIT Bhubaneswar are popular academic institutions known for their extensive academic offerings in the fields of engineering, technology, and management. It depends on your personal preference, academic choices, and career objectives which institution you want to opt for.

  • However, according to me opting for IIT Bhubaneswar Metallurgy Engineering is a better choice.
  • IIT Bhubaneswar offers full-time Btech in Metallurgy Engineering which is a four-year program.
  • The course fee for four years is INR 1763520. IIT Bhubaneswar offers excellent placement opportunities for students, with the highest package being INR 55 LPA and the average package being 15.5 LPA.

IIT BHU and IIT Bhubaneswar both are good choices to pursue Metallurgical Engineering from.

IIT BHU is an old IIT with a good reputation. According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2019, IIT BHU ranks at 14. This IIT holds a good placement record for all the branches of engineering. The placement statistics of 2019, 72% of the students from Metallurgical Engineering got a placement offer.

Despite being a new IIT, IIT Bhubaneswar is doing quite well in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. This department has witnessed 90% placement record in the year 2019. Also, according to the NIRF 2019, IIT Bhubaneswar is ranked at 26, which is quite impressive considering this IIT was established only in 2008.

IIT BHU and IIT Bhubaneswar both are perfectly good options for Metallurgical Engineering. Also, both of these IITs offer decent placement opportunities. So, the choice is up to you.
