Presently, I will go to BTech final year. I want to do an MBA in IIM Bangalore. How can I achieve it? What is the eligibility criteria?

After completing your graduation you can start your preparation for MBA. Being a student of IIM Bangalore, I can provide some insights which might be helpful for you.

IIMB selection is done through CAT. The cut-off for top B-schools is above the 99.5 percentile, which varies over the years.

The selection process of every B-school is almost the same. After clearing the cut-off you will get an interview call but few B-schools follow different procedures too. After getting shortlisted, you will be called to give Written Assessment (WAT).

Written Assessment:

• You have to express your thoughts on the given argument. Around 20 to 30 minutes will be given.
• Topics can be asked from current affairs, business, economics, social issues, etc.
• After WAT, candidates will be assessed with Group Discussion and then a Personal Interview.
• The interview process is 30 to 45 minutes long.
• The academic scores have a weightage of 5%.
• An extra weightage will be given to candidates who have good scores in 10th, 12th, and bachelors degree.
• The final decision will be taken only after looking at the performance of the candidates in all these stages.

You have to give your 100% to get selected in one of the top B-Schools in India. To make sure you get selected, start preparing for CAT well in advance, improve your writing skills and interviewing skills.
