How is campus life of students at IIM Bangalore?

IIM Bangalore is known for having one of the most beautiful college campuses in India. Few of the splendid amenities are single-room accommodations, almost 24-hour eating points, best sports facilities in any of the IIMs.
The average duration of lecture hours per day in the first year is 6 hours which reduces in the consecutive years depending upon the electives chosen in each term.
Students of IIM Bangalore have a 5-day working week, with quizzes and exams scheduled on weekends as well. Rarely, extra classes are scheduled on weekends in case of mid-week offs. There are more than 25 clubs promoting academics and extracurriculars. There is one club for each specialization in addition to music, dramatics, and sports clubs. These clubs are good for socializing as well as taking a break from academics. There are excellent sports facilities, both indoor and outdoor, like badminton, basketball, volleyball, football, cricket, tennis, pool table, etc. to mention a few.
IIT Bangalore has excellent accommodation facilities that promote harmony between juniors and seniors. Students of the same batch usually are made to stay within the same blocks.

IIMB offers great academics, awesome college fests, phenomenal extracurriculars, but the best thing is the campus. One of my friends graduated from IIM Bangalore and he was able to give some information regarding the campus.

• Nature - The campus is situated a little outside the city. The campus is lush green and has a cool environment. The walls have creepers all over them and the trees are surrounded. It is like a mini jungle inside.
• Size - The campus is a huge size of 110 acres. You can ride around the campus that doesn’t end in just an hour or have mini runs of 5 km or 10 km.
• Sports - Right opposite the hostel is a full-fledged cricket ground, lawn tennis court, gym, and many sports activities. The college allows you to take free bicycles and ride them around.
• Activities - IIMB has multiple college fests and events that will happen throughout the course. It is impossible to attend all activities happening on the campus as so many events happen in so many different locations around the campus.
• Facilities - The auditorium, grounds, library, and high-tech classrooms are available.
• Food - Students have multiple options to choose from. There are 2 canteens, 1 Management Development Center, 1 Cafe (Au Bon Pain), and a Maggi/ Juice corner.

Overall, you will have a great experience at the campus.
