Yes, IET Lucknow is better than MMMUT Gorakpur because IET is a part of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) hence it gets the advantage of AKTU MOU. Having a few friends from both the mentioned colleges, here are some tips for you.

Even though MMMUT Gorakhpur has been ranked #183 in the NIRF. There are some cons of choosing MMMUT Gorakhpur –

MMMUT lacks experienced faculty.
The fee structure at MMMUT is higher than at IET.
Not to speak loud but there is corruption at MMMUT.
