Why is ABES Engineering College better than KIET?

KIET has been ranked in the NIRF band of 201-250 for Engineering similar to the ABES Engineering College.

Both the colleges have their own TedX platforms. ABES Engineering College has about 13 student clubs and KIET has more than 40 clubs including GPAT incubation club; Quizzinga in; and Kavyanjali poetry club.

• KIET: Itrequires students to have 45%-50% marks in 10+2 and qualification of the UPSEE/GATE for BTech and MCA/MTech.
• ABES Engineering College: It has similar criteria, but it has an MBA program as well for which students need a bachelor's degree with 50% marks.

Infrastructure and Faculty

• ABES Engineering College has 244 faculty members. It has its own TedX ABESEC too. The institute has a central library, sports complex, mess, cafeteria, and hostels for boys and girls.
• KIET has more than 10 faculty of eminence with about 5-20 faculty members for each department. Apart from departmental libraries and centers of excellence; the college has a central library, an auditorium, 3 conference halls, a cafeteria, and a transportation facility as well.

Placement Data

ABES Engineering College

• In 2019-20, the major recruiters were Amazon, Wipro, Adobe, and Capgemini. 
• The highest package offered was INR 27 LPA by Amazon and INR 27.70 by Adobe.
• A total of 1090 students had registered of which 864 were placed with 298 companies including the aforementioned ones and 201 students were recruited at an annual payment of INR 5.0 LPA.

KIET

• It helps students with international internships in partnership with AIESEC and IAESTE.
• The top recruiters at KIET are Samsung, Wipro, Accenture Atkins, and Capgemini. 
• In 2020, 250 companies participated in the recruitment process.
• The highest package was of INR 27 LPA offered to the IT department, followed by 19 LPA given to the EC department.

Students are expected to choose with discretion based on resource utilization and future prospects of a program.
