Why is IIIT Hyderabad better than IIT Bhubaneswar for the CS branch?

IIIT Hyderabad is ranked 15th for engineering by the Week 2020 and 43rd for private engineering by the NIRF. IIT Bhubaneswar is ranked 11th among the IITs by India Today’20 and 22nd among the engineering colleges by NIRF 2020.

Eligibility Criteria:

IIIT Hyderabad:

• JEE Main scores are considered for admission followed by JoSAA counselling.

• Admissions are also considered based on Olympiads and UGEE conducted by the college.

• Students need a 60% or above aggregate in their 10+2 to be eligible for a seat in this college.

• The required cutoff for CS is 1187 (General) according to 2019 data.

IIT Bhubaneswar:

• JEE Main and advanced scores are considered for admission, followed by JoSAA counselling.

• Students need a 75% or above aggregate in their 10+2 exams in science stream.

• For CS the required cutoff in 2019 was 4509.

The BTech CS program costs around 2.17 lakhs (first-year fees).

For admission in MTech in both the colleges, students need to sit for the GATE examination.

IIIT Hyderabad:

• The highest package is around 40 LPA, the lowest is 6 LPA, and the average package is around 23 LPA.

Both IIIT Hyderabad and IIT Bhubaneswar have excellent infrastructure with Wi-Fi, hostel, canteen, library, and sports facilities. Medical facilities are available 24/7 in both the colleges.

Badminton, tennis, table tennis, basketball courts, and football and cricket grounds are available along with indoor games.

IIIT Hyderabad and IIT Bhubaneshwar can be put in the same league when it comes to placements and curriculum. So, it can be said that both the colleges are on par and you can choose either one of them for pursuing CS.
