How are the placements for architecture at VNIT Nagpur?

The reason why Architecture students aren’t placed in non core jobs is because they don’t usually sit for them. Apart from that, no Architecture firms visit the campus for placements. Some Architecture students try for off campus jobs in their domain, while others start their own firm and do business. 

Thus, mostly Architecture students either approach companies on their own, or become entrepreneurs.

No Architecture firms visit the VNIT campus during placement season. 

But you can try getting into companies which are open for both B.Tech and B.Arch students. Very few companies are open to Architecture students during the placement season at VNIT Nagpur. They too offer very limited vacancies. In order to be placed on campus, you’ll have to work a lot harder, and study more than the requirements of your curriculum.

Apply for off campus internships during your semester breaks, and retain all the projects done by you during your B.Arch. The 9th academic semester is completely dedicated to off campus internships. Therein, you’ll have to work under a professional firm for 6 months. 

Basically, to get an internship/ job in the field of architecture, you’ll have to work on your own. The college won’t bring in companies for you.
