VNIT Nagpur is one of the most expensive NITs, and its hostels are at par with private college hostels.
The new NBCC constructed hostels have been functional for a few years. The hostels are provided with a TV room and a Table Tennis room. Each hostel room has high speed LAN ports.
The mess food is nowhere close to home cooked meals, but it is better than the one offered by tiffin services. North Indian and South Indian staples are served in the menu, along with some dishes from the Marathi cuisine.
The hostel administration and mess contractors aren’t student friendly at all, but you’ll learn to manage things with time. The hostel fee is on an average, Rs. 32,700 per sem. You can expect a refund of around Rs. 5-10k for an academic year.
Thus, you can expect a decent stay at the VNIT hostels.
