Is it worth it to join IIM, Sirmaur or IMT, Ghaziabad?

A friend of mine attended IMT Ghaziabad and had a good experience at the institute. Here are some of the pros and cons of the institute. 

Pros:

• Excellent Campus Life - One thing that every MBA aspirant must know is that there is minimal classroom learning. MBA is more about learning outside class. And this is where IMT Ghaziabad plays a good role. The institute has a great campus with full-fledged amenities. You will not be needed to go anywhere, it has such a self-sustained ecosystem. 
• Placement Opportunities- To be very straightforward, if you’ll compare IMT Ghaziabad with top IIMs, then you will see that they do not have similar placement records. Except for the few colleges, you will see a very average package in other B-schools. Though it depends on you how you perform in the placements to get an offer in such minimal opportunities. 
• Good Faculty - IMT Ghaziabad has a good number of experienced faculties, especially for Marketing students. There are some amazing full-time professors & great visiting faculties. They are friendly & accessible whenever required. 
• Extra-curricular activities - IMT Ghaziabad has a very active committee culture. You will be witnessing many events on campus. Also, the faculty teaches you through a lot of practical things which will help you understand better. 

Cons:

• Large Batch Size - Being a reputed institute, every year a lot of students come to join the institute. The result of this is huge batch sizes. One of my friends graduated from IMT in 2020, and her bath had 650 people. 
• Emphasis on Academics - Due to huge batch sizes, companies cannot interview all the students during placement. To sort the process, companies usually set the filters based on academics, it results in students with poor academics lack to sit in placements. 

So, as you can see the pros outweighed the cons. And according to my friend IMT Ghaziabad is worth every bit.
