According to the order released by the university, CUSAT CGPA to percentage conversion rule is - Percentage = (CGPA - 0.5) * 10

So, you need to subtract 0.5 from your CGPA and then multiply the result by 10. It will give the same result as calculating the total marks awarded and then finding the percentage.

The college has a standard conversion table in place to help you convert your GPA into a percentage scale. You will have to check your grade or grade points obtained and convert them into percentages. Additionally, there is also a classification scale that includes all the classes like first class and second class.

Grading scale:

Marks obtained (percentage)

Grade

Grade Points

90 – 100

S

10

80 – 89

A

9

70 – 79

B

8

60 – 69

C

7

50 – 59

D

6

<50

F

0

Classification scale:

This scale should provide you more information regarding the CGPA and percentage conversion:

Classification

CGPA

First-class with distinction

8 and above

First-class

6.5 and above

Second class

6 and above

Percentage of marks: This will probably help you find a more accurate percentage from your GPA or CGPA.

Percentage of marks: (GPA or CGPA – 0.5) x 10

For example, if your GPA is 8.2 then your percentage would be: (8.2-0.5) x 10 = 77%

Hope this helps you find what you are looking for.
