What was the highest package offered in the CSE branch at LPU?

Coming to the placements offered at LPU, the highest overall package offered to a student was in the CSE branch of the engineering department. The offer was of 42 LPA and was made by Microsoft to Tanya Arora, a final year engineering student in the CSE branch of the batch of 2020. According to the placement statistics of the institution, there has been a massive increase in the highest package offered this year as compared to the previous years’ records with last year’s highest package being 31 LPA and in the years prior to that the highest packages offered were in the mid 20 lakhs range per annum.

The maximum no. of offers was made by Cognizant followed by Capgemini, Amazon, Bosch, Wipro and Tech Mahindra. More than 130 companies offered packages more than that of 5LPA. as compared to around 45 over the last two years. 3 students of the CSE branch in engineering were also recruited by Amazon in the field of AI for packages around 28 LPA.

The average packages of the CSE students range from 3.5 LPA to 6 LPA. To add to this, there were also a significant no. of offers that were made from companies like SAP Labs, Synopsys India, Hindustan Unilever – Ltd., TCS, CEAT and Flipkart.

The placement drives organized by the Division of Career Services along with the various job fairs that were regularly conducted helped the students in getting better and reasonable placements. Rather this resulted in Cognizant hiring 550 students on the first day itself. All this had played a role in the university being recognized by the National Employability Award for producing one of the most employable students in universities and having the best placement rate.
