What is better, BTech IT from KIET Ghaziabad or CSE from ABES Engineering College Ghaziabad?
As a former BTech student in the IT branch at KIET, let me tell you that this branch is the best among all the others.
Just last year in 2023, the placement percentage from the IT branch was around 93.81%. The highest package was INR 48.89 LPA. The average package was around INR 6.78 LPA.
Not only last year, but the placements have been consistently good since the last 5-6 years.

ABES Engineering College's Computer Science Engineering branch students were offered INR 10 LPA as the highest package and 3.4 LPA as the average package in 2020.

- Admission Process- Both the institutes take admission through counseling to students based on their Uttar Pradesh State Engineering Exam (UPSEE) rank.
- Eligibility and No. of Seats- A student with a minimum of 45% marks in HSC with Science is eligible for admission in the colleges. KIET offers 180 seats for IT while ABES offers 180 seats for general CS degree and 120-180 more for AI and Machine Learning, Data Science, and others.
To conclude, both the AICTE approved colleges are comparably similar. Most students prefer CS over IT for wide range of opportunities. But KIET offers decent placements for IT. So, choose according to your preference.
