How is your first day at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology?

VD
Varsha Das Posted On : February 25th, 2021
B.E from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (2018)

One of my friends in 2014 first attended Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (BAIT) in the Automobile department. They were the first batch of students in the automobile department. The environment is good and the people seemed cooperative.

He reached the hostel and his classes were scheduled at 8:45 in the morning next day. His experience overall was really good. The students were well dressed and easy to talk to. The faculty members included the professors and the HOD, who were helpful and cordial. Teacher-Student interaction was encouraged.

Later, a session was organized for the first year students. These included familiarizing them with the staff, the teachers, the head of each department and also details about the previous campus placements and collaborations with companies like TCS, Mahindra etc. were also discussed.

Finally at the end of the day, when the session was over, the students returned to their hostel rooms to interact and spend time with their new roommates.Overall the first day experience was very overwhelming.

What are the things I should bring to the Bannari Amman Institute of Technology on the first day?

NC
Nita Chatopadhaya Posted On : March 31st, 2021
B.E. Civil Engineering, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology

Here are some of the things that you should keep with yourself on your first day.

  • You're going to become an engineer soon, so keep a ballpoint pen with you.
  • Try to keep a piece of paper too for nothing down important points.
  • Keep copies of your documents with you.
  • The first day is communication day, so you have to introduce and give a summary about yourself.
  • Remember the number you registered for, and above all carry some money as tea break snacks are available in the Morning.

So, to put it straight, bring a notebook with a pen if you are a day-scholar. If you are a hosteler, consider the things relevant to your accommodation. However, at the Sarvodaya Sangh outlet inside Institute premises, all the basic Hostel accommodation needs including bed, pillow, bucket, mug, lock, etc. were available.

How is the education standard in the Bannari Amman Institute of Technology?

SM
Shreya Manna Posted On : February 25th, 2021
Studied at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (2018)

In all engineering subjects, it is known to all that practical knowledge is more essential than theoretical knowledge. Moreover, it also depends on who are your professors and which subjects have you chosen while you stay at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology.

The placements at BAIT are well known throughout all the engineering colleges. The professors are known to help the students. There have been so many examples where students have been placed at good and popular MNCs and organizations. It has also got one of the best infra-structure and campuses in India.

This is one of those rare institutes where a lot of emphasis is laid on skill development, practical knowledge, foreign language and communication programs. These programs make sure that the best in every student is brought out. There is a tradition of regular guest lectures and webinars being hosted which make a very enriching session for all students. Facilities such as gym are open to all the students including day scholars and hostlers. A number of clubs, and cultural festivals are organized throughout the year to help develop all students holistically. This is a cumulative learning method (CLM) which means it is a method which makes sure to include all students in every session.

The overall education standard in any institute is measured not just by its academics but also its extracurricular activities and events. To sum it up, in my opinion, I think it would be a safe option to say that it is one of the finest colleges to graduate from.

What are the placement statistics of EEE in Bannari Amman Institute of Technology?

EG
Eshita Ghosh Posted On : March 31st, 2021
Studied at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology

Well, there are benefits for each branch. However, EEE offers you more chances to work in the core-field and other primary areas.

I know a few people from Bannari Amman. According to them, many students and staff from the EEE are engaged in multiple consultancy work. They also undertake AICTE, MNRE approved projects.

The lab facilities are well equipped to carry out academic works. EEE students do get placed in top MNCs and core sector companies through campus placements.

Here is a brief highlight of the recent lament for EEE at the institute.

Placement Average

90%

Highest CTC

30 LPA

Core Recruiters

TCS, ZOHO, etc.

Placement mostly depends on different aspects. When you train for interviews, you will know about it. Rest, just work hard enough and try not to get any backlogs as many companies demand students with zero to no backlogs.

What is the syllabus for ECE at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology?

SC
Sumit Chandel Posted On : March 31st, 2021
Computer science engineer from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology

BITs is autonomus. It sets up their own program. You can download this curriculum from the Anna university portal if you have any doubts about the curriculum part. The autonomous university curriculum and university curriculum are both identical. But the college curriculum itself varies slightly from the university curriculum of Anna. (For example) You can only do one project at the end of the last year in the Anna university program. But you can do projects for each semester at BIT since it’s autonomous.

Below are some of the subjects with codes mentioned to help you out:

  • 18EC101 Engineering Mathematics I
  • 18EC102 Engineering Pysics I
  • 18EC103 Engineering Chemistry I
  • 18EC104 Computer Programming
  • 18HS101 Communicative English I
  • 18EC106 Engineering Graphics

Each department will have common topics in the first year and your core topics begin from year 2.

Apart from these, there are going to be practicals which you will have to attend compulsorily as they contain marks as well.
