Questions Asked On Silicon University, Bhubaneswar

Which is better: Silicon Institute of Technology or KIIT? Why?

Sayantani Barman Posted On : July 26th, 2023

I will compare SIT and KIIT on certain parameters-

  • Fees- KIIT charges around 2.5 times more than SIT.
  • Curriculum- In terms of curriculum, KIIT has the upper hand. KIIT is a university while SIT is a part of BPUT. The curriculum and paper-checking patterns of BPUT are quite vague and not that good.
  • Infrastructure- KIIT has a far better infrastructure than SIT. SIT lags behind in terms of infrastructure. SIT provides really slow wifi on campus.
  • Academics, Research, and Faculty- The faculty at SIT is better than KIIT. KIIT offers decent research opportunities but its students do not take much interest in the same.

The teachers in SIT are partial. The study environment is lenient and students who do not even study also end up scoring an 8 CGPA. In KIIT, however, the academic situation is even worse.

  • Location- Although both institutions are not very far from each other, KIIT has a better location because SIT campus has mobile network issues.
  • Campus Placements-  KIIT offers good placements, and packages can cross 6.5 LPA. However, more mass recruiters offering 3-4 LPA jobs visit the SIT campus. KIIT also has a good number of mass recruiters visiting the campus though.
  • Fests and Events- KIIT holds fests and events for its students. On the other hand, SIT mostly has no events and even if something does take place, the students of SIT itself end up performing.

I would suggest you choose KIIT because if you work hard enough, you can end up in a company like SAP Labs with a good package. SIT offers only average placement opportunities for which the packages range from 3-4 LPA. You can choose SIT if you wish to go for higher studies.

Considering all aspects, which is better, VSSUT Burla vs SIT Bhubaneswar?

Sabeer Chalana Posted On : October 11th, 2023
  • I have friends both in VASUT Burla and SIT Bhubaneswar. Based on their reviews I feel SIR Bhubaneswar is one of the best private colleges under BPUT University in Bhubaneswar. The academics are great and the faculty is highly qualified. The campus has modern facilities like wifi access and the labs are well-equipped. It’s located close to big firms like CS, Infosys, and Wipro. However, like any other college, SIT Bhubaneswar has its own set of cons. For instance, the security is very tight and the hostel rules are strict. There are cameras in the boys' hostel in every corner. The campus placements are pathetic.

VSSUT Burla

  • VSSUT is a deemed university and a well-known government-funded college. The best part is that its course fee is very low in comparison to SIT Bhubaneswar. It has a huge wifi enabled campus.

Overall I feel VSSUT is better in terms of campus plumbers, hostel facilities, night canteens facility, and the variety of disciplines it offers.

Which one would be a better choice for pursuing B.Tech both institute wise as well as placement wise University Institute of Technology Burdwan CSE or Silicon Institute of Technology CSE ?

Studied at Silicon Institute of Technology

UIT Burdwan is not a good choice when compared to Silicon Institute of Technology. You should avoid going there. The following are the points to be considered.

  • UIT Burdwan is Government funded and affiliated with Burdwan University. But the intake of 60 undergraduate students is low.
  • It accepts only WBJEE ranks for admission.
  • The placement in UIT Burdwan is also poor. It offers limited internship opportunities for the students.
  • A few of the top recruiters in CSE include TCS, Infotech, Infosys, IBM, L&T, and more.

The placement statistics are below.

Lowest Salary INR 2.4 LPA
Average Salary INR 4 LPA
Highest Salary INR 8.5 LPA
Placement Percentage 50%

UIT Burdwan is not the best place to get admission. The curriculum is old, so college life seems like a time killer. However, if inclined towards CSE or IT branch, look for colleges in Bangalore. It is the Silicon Valley of India and a hub for major IT companies.

B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang

For CSE, Silicon Institute of Technology is the best option among these. It offers good academics in the software domain. It has a good placement record, especially for branches like CSE, and ECE. TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Byju’s are some of the major recruiters that take part in Silicon Institute of Technology placements. As per the placement highlights, the average CTC for the CSE branch is around INR 3.4 LPA.

Which college is better for doing engineering in computer science, Silicon or LNCT Bhopal?

SM

B.Tech from Sharda University

LNCT is one of Madhya Pradesh's best private institutes. I have a few friends from the institute and according to them, the CSE course offered is great.

The well-trained faculty members strive to provide students with a high-quality education. The institute is synonymous with quality because of its world-class facilities, excellent infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories and libraries, and student-friendly campus.

The training and placement cell works closely with students and the administration to assist them to seek jobs in the companies of their preference. WIPRO, Cognizant, Amdocs, Infosys, and many others are among the major league companies. According to the recent placement highlights the average CTC offered at LNCT Bhopal is around 3-8 LPA.

With good facilities and decent placement records, LNCT Bhopal is definitely a good choice for doing your CSE degree.
