FORE School of Management doesn’t have hostel accommodation of its own but it has tie-up with other hostels in the area. Most students are day scholars and stay in nearby PGs and flats.

MBA from SVKM's NMIMS

KJ Somaiya is better than FORE School of Management. FORE is mostly known in the Delhi NCR region. While KJ Somiya is well-recognized throughout the nation.

For freshers, FORE is a better option, especially in Marketing specialization. KJ Somiya has a better peer group with more experienced students. It is a good option for both Marketing and Finance.

KJ Somiya placements are pretty good. According to the 2022 placement report, the average CTC for the institute had been INR 10 LPA. Situated in Mumbai, KJ Somaiys will offer you better opportunities and exposure.

If you're considering pursuing an MBA in Marketing, GIM could be the best option for you. This is because GIM is known for having the best marketing faculty among the options available. The faculty members are highly experienced and knowledgeable, and they provide students with a comprehensive understanding of marketing concepts and practices.

On the other hand, if you're looking for the top-ranked management school among the options provided, GLIM Chennai should be your choice. GLIM Chennai consistently ranks at the top among B-schools in the country, and it has an excellent reputation for providing a world-class education.

Moreover, GLIM Chennai has strong industry linkages and provides students with plenty of opportunities to interact with top recruiters. This is a significant advantage, as it gives students the chance to network with industry leaders and gain valuable insights into the field.

If you're looking to pursue a career in PGDM Marketing, GIM could be the best choice among GLIM, FORE, and TAPMI as it provides excellent training and education in this field. However, if you're looking for a top-ranked institution and want to maximize your chances of getting hired by top recruiters, GLIM Chennai is the way to go.

Ultimately, the decision of which institution to choose depends on your personal goals, preferences, and priorities. Both institutions offer world-class education and exceptional faculty, so it's essential to weigh the pros and cons carefully before making a final decision.

Should I join K J Somaiya PGDM FS or FORE PGDM?

SG

Simulation-based learning tools, brand engagements

FORE and KJ Somaiya are both excellent. The curriculum is designed in consultation with industry leaders and the growing demands of the industry as an ongoing process at FORE, making it relevant to the workplace. FORE has a strong connection with the corporate world and is a preferred destination for recruiters because it provides value to the recruiter as well. The average CTC offered by both institutes is nearly identical - FORE: INR 14.04 LPA & KJS: INR 12.28 LPA.

If you are not from Mumbai, you must also consider the cost of living. Delhi/NCR is always less expensive than Mumbai.

Which is a better option for marketing, TAPMI PGDM or FORE PGDM?

MR
Mihir Roy Posted On : August 5th, 2021
Studied at Jadavpur University (2019)

Both TAPMI and FORE are very reputed institutions and are very good choices to pursue PGDM. As some of my friends studied in the above-mentioned colleges, I can provide some facts that might be useful for you while making a decision.

  • FORE is situated in Delhi which is an added advantage as this is the capital city and has better facilities and easy access to all parts of the country.
  • This also attracts a lot more companies to visit the campus for interviews.
  • The total seats available in TAPMI is 455 and in FORE it is 420 (180 for PGDM, 120 for IB, 60 for FM, 60 for BDA). So, the competition will be less in FORE and the students will get more opportunities.
  • Also FORE doesn't have any restrictions on placements, so any student from any stream can sit for all campus interviews.
  • FORE has better connections in the corporate industry and has a better alumni network which is another advantage over TAPMI.
Categories PGDM at TAPMI PGDM at FORE
Course Fee 15.1 lakhs 15.98 lakhs
Highest CTC 18-20 LPA 25 LPA
Average CTC 11-12 LPA 16 LPA
Recruiting Companies KPMG, Asian Paints, Mercedes, Adobe, etc. American Express, HSBC, Barclays, Mindtree, etc.

Hence, both the colleges are very good options to pursue PGDM, but FORE has some added advantages over TAPMI like better location and alumni which can be very beneficial for you.

What is the XAT Cutoff for SP JAIN, K J Somaiya, IMT Ghaziabad, TAPMI, and FORE?

AB
Adiya Bondhopaday Posted On : March 20th, 2023
Lives in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

XAT or Xavier Aptitude Test is a national-level entrance exam conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to management programs offered by more than 150 B-schools across India, including SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, Institute of Management Technology Ghaziabad (IMT Ghaziabad), T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), and FORE School of Management.

Each of these B-schools has its own XAT cutoff score based on factors such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the availability of seats. Generally, the XAT cutoff scores for these B-schools range between the 80 to 90 percentile.

It's important to note that while cutoff scores are an important factor in the admission process, they are not the only factor. Other factors, such as your academic background, work experience, extracurricular activities, and performance in other selection rounds, also play a crucial role in the admission process. So, it's always a good idea to aim for a high score in XAT and prepare well for other selection rounds to increase your chances of admission to the MBA program of your choice.

What waiting list gets through in FORE School of Management?

MR
Mridul Roy Posted On : April 16th, 2022
MBA Marketing & Information Technology, FORE School of Management (2017)

The waiting list movement of FORE varies each year. There are many factors that influence the waiting list movement, i.e. general cutoff trends in other colleges, new IIM waiting list movement, etc.

Usually, for tier-II colleges like FORE, around 50% of the waiting list gets clear. But, there are no ways to be certain about the waiting list movement. For some academic years, the waiting list didn’t move at all, in the past.

Is there anyone who remains unplaced from old IIM, XLRI, FMS Delhi, and NITIE? Is it possible to be?

HR
Hira Ramchandani Posted On : January 9th, 2023
MBA in Human Resources & Strategy, Xavier School of Management (Graduated 2011)

Top B-Schools have created an Invincible persona and have successfully marketed it over the years; however, there is now a demand-supply mismatch, with seats at all B-Schools almost doubling or tripling in the last decade, and a slew of new IIMs or branches of top colleges such as MDI Murshidabad, IIFT Kolkata, NITIE, FMS Delhi, and XLRI Delhi. The colleges will suffer as a result of the lack of job offers from top companies. The only increase can be attributed to recently funded startups that have started hiring from these colleges by offering outrageous packages.

There are students who are unable to be placed during the normal Summers / Finals process, but these colleges use their star alumni base to place the remaining 5-8 students in companies cofounded by the alums or through alums who have been placed in top positions in traditional corporates.
