The All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AEEE) cut off by rank was- 9199 for the general category and economically weaker sections and at 9983 for the OBCs, in 2018. In 2019, it was 8893 for general category students and economically weaker students and 10421 for OBCs.
The merit list will be prepared based on 60% marks secured in AEEE 2020 and 40% marks in the qualifying examination.

Cut-off for Amaravati:
It must be noted that Amrita will not be offering Engineering programs in the Amaravati campus this year, 2020.
Besides this, in 2017 the Open Quota Rank at Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri was between 5696-6991 and the State Quota Rank was between 16547-19969.
The possibility of getting any of the branches is open to students with a rank of 4396. Following the trend shown in the table and comparing it to the 2018 rank scale which had the opening rank between 1-750 for the general category and 1-15000 for the reserved categories. State Quota for the AEE saw the opening rank between 10001–12500 and the closing rank between 20001–22500.
Students must note the counseling procedure will be decisive in the process of selection. A rank of 4936 can lead one to any branch they'd like to choose.

One of my friends is an alumnus of Amrita and he suggests the Amritapuri campus is better for CSE. If you have not already joined the institute, you should consider joining the Amritapuri campus.
PES University is undoubtedly better than Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bangalore campus. The most important decision should be whether to take Mechanical engineering or ECE as both are different disciplines and unrelated to each other as well. The choice of your engineering branch should be based on your passion and interest as you would have to study it for 4 years and then do a job in the same field as well.

The chances of getting a seat for a desired campus and course depends on the competition and toughness of the entrance exam.
There are many determining factors of the AEEE cutoff such as, number of seats available, number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the number of students who applied and appeared for exams.
Each year the cutoff set by the college for admission is different, that is why it is tough to answer this question if one can secure a seat in CSE for the desired campus. However, one can look at the previous year’s cutoffs to get an idea about the ranking and seat allotment process.

According to the previous year’s cut-off mentioned, it is very hard for the student to get admissions into the Amrita Coimbatore campus with a rank of 2,231. However, there is a chance to be accepted for the CSE program with an AEEE rank of 2,231 at the Bangalore campus as the cut-offs for the previous year indicate.
Therefore, one can get admission into Amritas at the Bangalore campus. However this analysis is done on the previous year’s cutoffs, that is why one needs to be updated with the current year’s cutoffs which can be checked on the official college website.
