Which college is better for economics hons Scottish Church College or Asutosh College?

B.Sc Economics, Scottish Church College, Kolkata

My elder brother was accepted to both colleges in Eco(Hons) this year, and he eventually chose Scottish Church. Here's why.

  • Even if the faculties of both departments are almost equal, classes in Ashutosh are irregular, and the union has too much ownership. Inside the premises, the atmosphere for a first-year student isn't great.
  • Unlike Ashutosh, the admissions process at Scottish Church is uncomplicated and administered by the department.
  • However, both are under CU, and if you're familiar with the marking scheme, they're identical. You must rely on tuition regarding your studies in Ashutosh as teachers will be of little help.

So, choosing Scottish Church College will be better.

Amity University Kolkata was established in 2015. The eligibility criteria for admission in B.Com. is 10+2 result and students are also required to go through an English test followed by a personal interview. The course fee for B.Com is 76,000. Scottish Church College is one of the oldest colleges in Kolkata and is well-known for its good faculty. The selection for the B.Com program is done based on the result of 10+2 and the course fee is 51,986/- per year.

Bhawanipur Education Society Kolkata has a great environment for academics. The college has a good infrastructure. It is popular among students because there is no demand for regular attendance, which helps students who are studying and also preparing for professional courses like CA and CS.
