Questions Asked On IITM, New Delhi

An institute relies upon its environment and exposure, apart from that other things definitely only depend upon you. Herein, environment interprets to the competition you have in your batch, while exposure translates to pursuing things in the institute alongside academics.

If you are living somewhere around or in Delhi, then opting for IITM Janakpuri can be a better option than others. The institute offers great exposure in terms of city life. You will get a chance to attend the biggest fests like IITD Randezvou, AIIMS Pulse, and DTU’s fests. 

However, if you get options better than this, then choosing them will not relevantly affect you. Make an informed decision whenever you can. 

One of my cousins is studying at the Institute of Innovation in Technology and Management and after reading some reviews online, I can share some facts about it. 

• IITM is a good institute but it is very strict and disciplined, almost like a school. 
• My cousin’s overall experience of college was good. He mentioned the well-built infrastructure and how everything from the classrooms to the laboratories is well maintained.
• They have a highly qualified faculty.
• There is no playground in this college, which could disappoint some students.
• The placements here are really good, which is one of the important things to note down while considering the college for admission.
• On the IITM campus there are two buildings IINTM and IITM. 

The college is good but there is no such a big facility for sports. Although the team is selected to play the game at IP University Main campus and auditions take place in the Hari Nagar complex.

It is recommended that you opt for an institute based upon its Affiliations, Accreditations, Placements, and Extra-curricular activities. Since one of my friends is a student at IITM Janakpuri, here is what she says about the institute as a whole, 

1. IITM Janakpuri has been developing at a steady pace ever since its establishment, in terms of its academic quality, and the number of students.
2. In fact, IITM Janakpuri has been accredited grade “A” by NAAC. Moreover, the institute is affiliated with IPU Delhi and is simultaneously also approved by AICTE.
3. The major upside is that students from IITM Janakpuri secure placement offer from several top-ranked firms around the world, including Jaro Education, HDFC, RBS, Tech Mahindra, Genpact, etc with reasonable salary packages.
4. Moreover, the institute will encourage you to take part in various inter and intra college Extracurricular activities as well. 

Having said that, every institute encourages 10% of the total number of seats through the management quota.
