Questions Asked On NDIM, New Delhi

Which one is better doing MBA marketing from IMT Hyderabad or MBA IB from NDIM Delhi?

HY
Harsh Yadav Posted On : June 2nd, 2023

The colleges are from different leagues. Although IMT Hyderabad only started in the year 2011, the brand image of IMT has helped the college in many ways. You could see many big brands such as Deloitte, ICICI Bank, Amazon D.E. Shaw, and so on visiting IMT Hyderabad. You’d also get the benefits of living in a good hostel and getting the campus experience since NDIM wouldn’t be able to compete in terms of infrastructure.

Please refer to the following table for further analysis.

Some of the factors to keep in mind while choosing a B-School are discussed below.

  • Both these colleges are average. If you have a good MAT score of above 95 you can choose a better B-School. Some tier I management institutes accept MAT scores, try to secure a seat at these institutes. You can get admission to good B-Schools through CAT too.
  • Simsree Mumbai Govt of MH and  Pumba Pune university are reputed management institutes with affordable fee range and higher ROI.
  • Bimtech Noida is another good alternative with smaller batch size. XIME, Christ Bangalore, Great lakes Chennai are also reputed management institutes.
  • Don’t choose a university, based on the 100% placement rate, annual CTC, or ranking. Contact alumni of the institutes on Linkedin to know about the job stability.
  • You have two options, score better in CAT (>80) and choose a reputed B-School that offers placement with a good in-hand salary or if you are choosing a B-School based on MAT score, do your own research and choose the right one.
  • Most colleges reveal the annual package offered in placement, not the in-hand salary. Always check the in-hand salary offered before choosing an institute. Some colleges give the assurance of 100% placement, but the job profiles offered may not be sustainable. Some colleges also offer mass recruitment for placement. So, do your own research well before investing in your management degree.

Do be fooled by the ‘first come, first serve’ policy that some management institute uses for marketing. Tier 1 institutes do not need such marketing strategies. The quality of education of these institutes is enough to build their reputation. So, do some research about the institutes and choose wisely.
