Why is there a sudden rise in placements of IIT (BHU) Varanasi this year?
IIT (BHU) Varanasi has maintained a stellar placement record over the years. Also in recent times, global MNCs have started to recognize Indian talents more and more. This is the reason behind the sudden influx in placement statistics for IIT BHU. Another reason is the student crowd of the college. Despite the poor infrastructure, IIT BHU still attracts brilliant students from all over the country.
The Training and Placement Office has a huge role to play behind the increased placement numbers too. The placement office work actively to invite recruiters and get best placement opportunities for the students.

Several factors are responsible for a sudden rise in the placements of IIT(BHU) Varanasi.
I would like to point a few of them:
- Students from the CSE department at IIT BHU had topped in various contests/ competitions related to coding. This made various companies come and hire students from IIT BHU.
- The TPO (Training and Placement Office) and TPRs (Training and Placement Representatives) work hard to invite reputed companies for placement drive at the campus. Many companies visited the campus for the first time and were really impressed by the students and this made more new companies come and hire the students.
- IIT BHU gives opportunities to startups ventures to hire a lot of students. Thus, due to an increase in companies, students who are not even from the CSE department got very good placements and they are performing well in the organization. This motivates the same company to come to college again for the next year’s placements.
To sum up, it can be seen that it is due to the efforts of TPO and TPR, and also the outstanding performance of students in various contests, giving a chance to several startups to hire students had increased the placements stats of IIT BHU.
