What is the lowest XAT percentile that a person has scored and still gotten a seat in XLRI?

The XAT cutoff was just made public by XLRI. For both the general engineering and general non-engineering categories, the XLRI XAT Cutoff 2023 was 95% for male students and 92% for female students to get admitted to the XLRI BM course.

 For admission to the XLRI HRM course, the XLRI XAT Cutoff 2023 was 93 percentiles for male general engineering students and 91 percentiles for female general engineering students.

The GMAT is also accepted by XLRI. The anticipated XLRI GMAT cutoff scores for HRM and BM are 710 and 730, respectively.

Since there are multiple profile types and programmes (BM and HRM) with varied cutoff scores, the XAT percentile serves as a bridge to the next step of the admissions process. All applicants who meet that cutoff point are therefore qualified to participate in the GD/PI phase, which follows. Therefore, the cutoff percentile, which often falls between 92 and 96%ile, is the so-called lowest percentile of final offer conversion. 

XLRI mainly runs three courses and takes students according to different scores in each of them.

Business Management (BM):

• Last year, the cutoff for male candidates was 97 and 93 for female. There are chances that cutoff can almost go up to the 98 percentile in 2021.
• There is a very minor chance almost none that you will get a call back if your score is below 97.
• Apart from that, you will need to clear all the sectional whose cutoff comes around 85-90 percentile.

Human Resource Management (HRM)

• It has two varying cutoffs for two separate things. One is for the Quant and Logical Reasoning and the second is for Verbal.
• HRM had a sectional cutoff of 85 percentile in Quant and Logical reasoning and 89 percentile for Verbal in the academic year 2020.
• The overall cutoff for 2020 was around 95-96. According to analysis from previous years, this academic year’s cutoff will be about 96+ percentile.

GMP:

• This is a specialty course and is for executives with work experience of 5 years or more.
• The mean percentile that stood till last was around 93. The GMAT cut-off stands at a mean of 690 and the cutoff stands at about 700-710.
• In GMP you can get profile-based calls.

All in all, you need a minimum of 90+ percentile in XAT whether you apply for Business Management, Human Resource Management, or GMP and a minimum of 85 percentile for the sectional cutoff. The lowest XAT percentile which got accepted in XLRI to date is 92 percentile.
