IIM Bangalore follows a rigorous academic program, and students are expected to maintain high academic standards throughout their course. However, the institute does not have a fixed limit on the number of D and F grades a student can have to graduate.
To pass the first year, students need to meet certain requirements set by the institute. According to the academic policy of IIM Bangalore, a student needs to maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.0 out of 4.0 to pass each term. Additionally, a student should not have more than one F grade in the first year to be eligible to continue the course.
It is also important to note that students are expected to maintain high academic standards throughout the course, and the institute has stringent requirements for the continuation of studies in subsequent terms. Students who do not meet the academic requirements may face academic probation or termination of studies.
At IIM Bangalore, there are D and U grades respectively. There is no F grade.
Most of the courses taken at IIM Bangalore are three-credit courses, except a few 2/1.5/1 credits.
Having said that, excluding a few courses, it is very difficult to score a D or U as it is very tough to score an A.
