For 2024-2026 batch, IIM Bangalore has revised its shortlisting criteria for PGP. These are the new weightage awarded to different qualification stages-
Thus, for PGP 2024, those who get a high score in the 10th and 12th boards have an improved chance of receiving a call from IIM Bangalore. Though the minimum score is not mentioned, unlike before, the 10th and 12th scores have been assigned equal weightage.
Also, the weightage for the CAT score will significantly increase from 40% to 55%.
Make sure to perform well in your CAT. A good academic background is very much necessary. Work experience also carries a 10% weightage for the shortlisting process.
The latest shortlisting criteria for interviewing candidates IIM Bangalore is as follows. It is the weightage in percentage given to the candidates by IIMB.
Particulars | Weightage |
---|---|
CAT | 40% |
SSC or 10th Boards | 20% |
HSC or 12th | 10% |
Graduation | 20% |
Gender Diversity | 2% |
Work Experience | 8% |
IIMB gives less weightage to the CAT percentile. So, if any other candidate who has a good academic record will probably be called for a PGP interview rather than who scored a good percentile in CAT. But it is also difficult to tell which percentile IIM B conversion is possible. It depends on how well the interview of the candidates has gone. Therefore, if you have a good academic background then chances are high that you will get an interview call from IIMB. Other important factors that can help you in getting the interview call are your work experience, CAT percentile, etc.
