Yes, NITIE accepts applications from students from almost every branch of engineering. This is applicable for production and industrial engineering as well. You can apply for NITIE through GATE or CAT. However, going by the cutoff trends, you need to have tp AIR rank in GATE IPE to get admission at NITIE.

Here is the cutoff for NITIE.

You also need to perform well in the GD-PI round in order to get selected. Try to score under 50 rank in PI to get a call from the institute.
