Definitely. According to some of my friends studying at NITIE, a lot of automobile companies visit the institute for internships as well as final placements.

The top recruiters include Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Anand Group, BMW, Hero Motocorp, TVS Motors as well as Bajaj Motors.
The manufacturing sector placements have a high salary of about INR 24 lakhs per annum.
Whereas the average salary is about INR 17.9 lakhs per annum.

You can also start networking with some of the alumni from the college who might be working in these companies to help you gain a clear idea about the same.
