You might be disappointed at the faculty of NIT Trichy or any other top engineering college. This is because the bar of your expectations will be high after clearing such a competitive exam. But don’t worry, you’ll really like some of the teachers from the Instrumentation and Control department. You’ll want to attend their lectures.
Make sure to have friendly relations with your seniors. They will tell you a lot about the different faculty members. Moreover, be consistent in your self study routine and take help from online resources. Don’t expect the faculty to spoon feed you.

Usually, you won’t care about the faculty once you get into the college as after appearing for the entrance exam you have very high expectations from faculty that might not be fulfilled and after that, you need to study online through various sources.
According to my friends at NIT Trichy, there are few faculty members who teach amazingly well that you feel like attending their classes with full enthusiasm. There are also others who are not that cooperative.
