How was your life at ISI Kolkata?
Life at ISI Kolkata revolves around academics. The campus has a close-knit student community. Since it is a research institute, social activities and happenings are almost non-existent. However, there are some clubs and societies. The campus also has good sports facilities.
If you like spending your days emerged in research activities, you will like being on the ISI Kolkata campus.

A friend of mine completed his Ph.D. from ISI Kolkata. He loved his time on campus. Being a Ph.D. student he had a decent office. The mess food is good. You can also get good food at a cheap rate from outside the campus. As it is a research institute, most of the students are academically inclined. Not many social activities take part on campus. Although there are few clubs and adequate sports facilities. The campus has a well-knit small student community who know each other pretty well.

Being at ISI Kolkata for around some time now, he enjoys spending time at the institute. The mess of ISI Kolkata, however, is somewhat decent as opposed to other institutes.
He essentially joined the institute following his graduation in B.Sc Statistics from a college situated in Kolkata itself.
For students of BS or MS, the institute only provides classrooms and hostels, while for Ph.D. scholars, the circumstance varies quite majorly. This clearly means a Ph.D. scholar receives a reasonably well-designed office of his own.
