NMIMS MBA admissions are done on the basis of the NMAT entrance exam. On average, a student needs to score 205-250 marks in the NMAT entrance exam to secure admission here. During shortlisting, 70% weightage is given to the NMAT exam alone.

The percentile cutoff for admission to all MBA specializations at NMIMS Mumbai is around 86 percentile.

MBA, NMIMS Mumbai (2019-21)

NMIMS is considered as one of the best colleges to pursue MBA as it is ranked at #24 by NIRF specifically for MBA and has also been rated #9 out of 284 in India, 2019 by India Today for MBA. To get into NMIMS, you need to clear NMAT and further are the sectional cut-offs from last year –

Logical Reasoning (96)

Language Skills (120)

There is no specific percentile as the cut-offs keep changing every year.

  • As per the previous data, it can be comprehended that the overall cutoff ranges somewhere between 207 to 209.
  • Sectional cut-offs, on the other hand, range between 55 to 56 for Verbal Reasoning, 60 to 61 for Logical Reasoning and 72 to 74 for Quantitative Aptitude.
  • Any score greater than 210 will land you in NMIMS for sure.
  • You need to attempt 108 questions in 120 minutes, i.e., 36 questions from each section. From QA, 36 questions in 52 minutes; from VR, 36 questions in 28 minutes; and from LR, 36 questions in 40 minutes.

Admission Criteria:

If you wish to get admitted to NMIMS, the NMAT score itself is not sufficient. Admission is based on various factors like Work Experience, Grades in 10th, 12th and Graduation, etc.

  • Case Discussion and Personal Interview play a huge role in determining your admission. Many a time, students with relatively lower scores are admitted to NMIMS which suggests that they must have been good at CDPI.
  • However, there is no guaranteed score for you to get into college. Even if you score amazingly well in NMAT and do not perform well in CDPI, then you might not get a call.

With sheer dedication and proper planning, one can attain the required scores quite easily. Once you get into NMIMS, your future in MBA is secured. Various top tier firms like Deloitte, KPMG, Hyundai, HP, etc., visit the campus every year. Approximately 175 recruiters visit the campus every year. The highest package offered to the students was 38.57 lakhs per annum whereas the average package was 17.58 lakhs per annum.
