When applying for NMIMS Mumbai, keep in mind that the cutoffs are declared in terms of marks, not percentiles. The NMAT cutoff for 2023 will be the minimum score required to appear for the selection rounds, which include WAT/GD/PI. The expected cutoffs for 2022 are 79+ for Logical Reasoning, 73+ for Quantitative Skills, 85+ for Language Skills, and an overall range of 205-250.
The cutoff for admission to NMIMS Mumbai is typically a score of 208 (94%). The NMAT cutoff for 2023 will depend on factors such as the number of registrations, candidates who appeared, reservation criteria, availability of seats, difficulty level, and past year cutoff trends.
According to my interaction with aspirants, a percentile doesn't matter in NMAT. Many students receive the same percentile and it doesn't differentiate properly. Every year the cut-offs are declared in terms of marks. A student needs to clear the cut-off marks in order to get a call back from NMIMS Mumbai.
Here are the cut off marks for NMIMS -
Sections |
Marks Distribution |
Verbal Ability |
55 marks |
Quantitative Aptitude |
74 marks |
Logical Reasoning |
61 marks |
Overall |
208 -210 marks |
The percentile will be given to each overall score. But this percentile score would not have any importance in this complete process and to the NMAT score. Around 80% of weightage will be given in the complete process for admission to NMIMS and not to the percentile.
Hence, to get admission to NMIMS, the only way is to study and practice hard and clear out the cut-off marks to get a callback.
