What should I prefer, IT at NIT Jalandhar or CSE at NIT Patna?

NIT Jalandhar and NIT Patna both offer BTech programs for IT and CSE and the admission is based on the student’s performance in JEE Mains.

NIT Jalandhar (IT):

NIT Jalandhar provides degrees at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The college was ranked 31st in engineering colleges by the week and it was ranked 52nd by NIRF in the academic year 2020. The college has 12 academic departments.

Admissions:

• For admissions in B. Tech, information technology, the student needs to get at least 60% in the qualifying examination.

• In the 10+2 exams, the student should have Maths, Physics, and one of the subjects from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology.

• The fees for IT in NIT Jalandhar is INR 88,000 (first-year fees).
