Is PDPU good for electrical engineering?

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) is located in Gandhinagar, Gujrat. It has been recognized by UGC and has also been awarded Scientific & Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) recognition by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The university is a member of AIU and is NAAC accredited with an ‘A’ grade.

Department of Electrical Engineering:

• The Electrical Engineering department at the School of Technology at PDPU offers courses in Electrical engineering at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.

• They provide extensive research projects, industry visits, and career-oriented internships and projects to allow students to gain experience.

• The faculty members are highly competent and are involved in the academic and professional development of students throughout the course structure.

Academics:

• The admission to the BTech Electrical Engineering is through and the required cutoff is around 5986 (Gen) according to the past years. The BTech course fee is 2.53 lakhs.

• The department offers MTech in Electrical Engineering (Power System). Student valid GATE score to seek admission. The course fee is 1.54 lakhs per annum.

Laboratories:

There are 14 laboratories at the department to facilitate pedagogic and research projects. The labs are upgraded regularly with new equipment.

Industrial Orientation:

The department takes various initiatives to keep the students updated with the latest industry trends. Many industry experts visit the campus from time to time for delivering talks. A few of the industries visited by the students are as follows.

Placements:

• PDPU is also famous for its placement with over 80% of students getting placed in top companies in the field.

• Some notable employers include Honeywell, UOP, L&T Technology Services, Torrent Power, Jubilant Life sciences, Byju’s, Torrent Gas, ExxonMobil, Welspun, etc.

• The average CTC offered at the institute is 6.75 LPA, whereas the highest CTC goes up to 16.6 LPA.
