IIM Shillong recently completed its 2022 placements drive and was able to place all of its students in the PGP 2020-2022 batch. The highest package offered during these placements was INR 55.22 LPA, while the average package was INR 23.10 LPA and the median package was INR 22.28 LPA. A total of 197 recruiters visited the campus during the placements, and 117 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) were made.
It is worth noting that the highest package saw a significant increase of 72.56% in 2022 compared to the previous year, while the average package decreased by 16.95% and the number of recruiters declined by 14.06% compared to 2021. In addition, during the PGP summer placements for the 2021-2023 batch, a total of 240 offers were made to 240 participating students. The highest and average stipends offered during these summer placements were INR 3.50 lakh and INR 1.73 lakh, respectively. Overall, it appears that IIM Shillong had a successful placements drive in 2022, with a high percentage of students being placed and relatively competitive salaries being offered.
IIM Shillong has an excellent placement record and has shown immense growth in a short period since its inception. The placement scenario is much better than the new IIM’s and is constantly improving. Placements are consistently 100% and what’s more promising is that IIM Shillong is regularly attracting new prominent recruiters every year for their recruitment process.
