IIM Kozhikode CAT cutoff varies every year and is dependent on various factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, the number of test-takers, and the number of available seats. Generally, IIMs consider various parameters while selecting candidates such as academic background, work experience, diversity, and CAT scores.

For the admission process in the academic year 2022-23, CAT cutoff for IIM-K was 94 percentile for general category candidates. However, the cutoff can vary every year and it is always advisable for the candidates to aim for a higher percentile to increase their chances of getting admission into their desired institute. Additionally, it's important to note that the CAT cutoff is not the only criterion considered for admission in IIM-K, as the institute also gives weightage to the candidate's academic record, work experience, and performance in the personal interview and written ability test.

The cut-off for securing admission for IIM Kozhikode depends on a number of factors. Moreover, it changes from year to year as well. These numbers depend on your previous year’s academics and work experience as well. So my suggestion would be to keep those strong. As far as eligibility is concerned, you need 10+2+3 with 50% marks at least from a recognized institute.

The selection criteria are quite tough as well. The cutoff range varies for each category. Listed below are brief details about cut off:

  • If you are a general category male engineer, you need to score a 99 percentile in CAT to even get shortlisted. Your admission also depends on the WAT-PI component.
  • Now, if you are from the general category, non-engineer or a female engineer, you will have to score at least 96 percentile with strong academics and work experience. Ensure that your WAT-PI component is strong as well. You can expect a call back only then.
  • Students from the non-general category will have to score at least 92 percentile to expect a callback.
  • Another silver lining is that for students who are CA and CFA graduates. The college has introduced quite a few relaxations for them. If you have one or both of the above-mentioned degrees, you can afford a 95 percentile with a good academic background.

But, these are all tentative scores as the shortlisting criteria and perceived ranking of the college keep changing year to year. Additionally, you will also need to clear sectional cutoffs to be considered in the shortlist.

This information is also available on the official website of the college under the Stage 1 shortlist in the eligibility section. My advice to you would be to try and score the highest and maximum amount of marks in CAT and prepare really well for your interviews if you get a callback. There is a lot of luck involved as well.
