Life of an M.Tech Student at IIT Bombay is quite wonderful. IIT Bombay campus is well-equipped with necessary immunities and amenities. The campus is like a small township in itself. All the students and the faculty live inside the campus. Mtech scholars get the best hostel rooms which are separate as well as spacious. The peaceful environment of the campus is ideal for academics.
During weekdays you will have classes, labs and if you are a teaching assistant you will have to grade papers and take tutorials, etc. Tutorials are one hour long supplementary or normal classes and mostly take place during the afternoon or evening. You will have to teach the undergraduates and solve problems related to what the professors taught in the classes. During weekends you can relax in your room, watch movies, work on your thesis, or take part in various activities on the campus. The institute has many clubs and societies.
In the second year of M.Tech students mostly stay busy with their project work, preparation for placements or competitive exams, etc.
