What was your Statement of Purpose for IIM Bangalore PGP?

The Statement of Purpose (SOP) for the IIM Bangalore Interview is probably one of the most important documents as more or less the entire interview process depends on it. Your entire academic and extra-academic profile and journey needs to be summarized in the SOP. Along with your various achievements, it should also focus on the values and lessons that you have learned on the way to achieve those things. The impact these achievements have had on your own life and other’s lives should also be highlighted in your SOP. While writing a SOP your focus should be on developing and narrating a story about yourself that would keep the panel members immersed in it and would be something more than being a monotonous representation of your GPAs, trophies, medals and examination percentages. It’s more like a summarization of your entire life in one page, stating everything from your experiences in life to your strengths and weaknesses in a properly linked well-knit format.

The SOP should not look like one of those standard templates that are being circulated across the internet and originality should be maintained. You should give enough time for writing the SOP and it should look more like an SOP rather than a resume.
