What are the most frustrating aspects of being a student @ IIIT Hyderabad?

One of my friends attended IIIT Hyderabad. Following are some of the things that used to bother him.

While on campus you will be completely absorbed in academic work. Students are usually always stressed about some assignment submission or meeting a deadline, at IIIT H.
There are very few extracurricular activities, in which you can take part.
Due to lack of funding, the college fest isn’t that great. Also, very few students participate in the fest.
Teaching Assistants are not very cooperative.

Also, most people don’t know much about IIITs. So, you may have a hard time explaining the brand value of the institute.

If you don’t enjoy coding, IIIT Hyderabad is probably not the right place for you. This does not necessarily mean that you won’t enjoy your stay here. But if you have no such interest in coding and are not specific about the branch of choice, then you may be better off with an IIT and an ordinary branch.

Other than the programming club there are no other club activities on the campus.

Let me state an incident, I heard from a friend who attends the institute. Students were not doing well in a professor's class in the first year. So, he decided to conduct a tutorial from 5 pm-7 pm, outside the official timetable. The tutorial time was clashing with a meeting organized by the Activity Council.

The agenda of the meeting was to introduce different club activities. When students raised objections, the professor’s response was, ‘Did you come to the college to sing or dance or to learn?’ This incident portrays the attitude of the faculty members and the administration regarding extra-curricular.

IIIT Hyderabad is focused on making talented IT engineers, in which they are excelling. However, they should also take initiative towards the holistic development of the students. Many students of the institute lack communication skills. IITs are famous because students get to take part in many extracurricular activities and work on their personality along with academics. IIIT Hyderabad has a long way to go in this regard.
