Which is better, NIT Durgapur for CSE or IIEST Shibpur for CSE?

NIT Durgapur and IIEST Shibpur, both are top-notch colleges in West Bengal. If you’ll choose either of both the colleges, you will not regret it at all. 

IIEST Shibpur has recently become the top priority among the students. My friend did her UG from IIEST, so I know a few things about the institute. 

Here are a few of the important aspects of IIEST. 

• Talking particularly about the CSE branch, the faculty of CSE is very considerate. They are really good at teaching their respective subjects.
• Labs of IIEST Shibpur are well equipped with all the necessary instruments. Lab assistants are there to assist you and brush up on your communication skills.
• One thing you must note that you have to be open to the faculties here, then only they will guide you.
• Placements in the CSE branch are quite decent. Many top-notch companies like Microsoft, Wipro visit the campus for recruitment.
• Many students from IIEST Shibpur also did well in the GATE examination in recent years. This means while pursuing your graduation, you can also prepare for further competitive exams.

Overall, you will have a great experience studying here. Shibpur has got national importance and in the upcoming years, there will be a betterment in the placement stats for sure. In the present scenario, NIT Durgapur has better placement stats but this cannot be the sole reason to not consider IIEST Shibpur. Therefore, it is suggested to first enquire about the faculties, campus, and other opportunities and then decide which is best for you.
