Is it worth joining XIMB this year or give 1 more try next year, given that I will be having around 4 years of experience by then?

3 years of work experience is optimum for pursuing an MBA degree. You can give one more try next year if you feel that you can get into a better college. However, XIMB is a reputed B-School. It follows a rigorous curriculum.

XIMB placements are pretty good. During 2021 placement drive, the average CTC offered was INR 15 LPA.

Since you have 3 years of work experience, it is the best time to pursue an MBA. This will also significantly contribute during placements. For a sales profile job, companies prefer a person with less experience as they believe, lesser the experience, more flexibility in the sales officers.

Now, trying for one more year is your choice. But, always remember that there is always a better thing that exists. So it is necessary to set a bar for yourself and decide as to which one is the best for you.

XIMB as a college is good. If you have the will to learn, you can learn a lot from college. The curriculum is meticulous. You will only find one disadvantage which is location. Having said that, due to the increase in the batch size in recent years, many good companies visit the campus for placement.

One can only give suggestions, it is you who will have to take the final decision.
