NIT Trichy is undoubtedly a great option if you're looking for an engineering college with a competitive and learning atmosphere. No matter which branch you belong to, you can get placed in any field of your interest and choice if you put in the effort.

If you choose to pursue Metallurgy at NIT Trichy, you will have the opportunity to witness yourself or your friends getting placed in core companies like TATA STEEL, JSW, RELIANCE, SCHLUMBERGER, and even management profiles like ORACLE. There are students who have also landed Google internships in California. Keep in mind that you too can achieve such success as long as you are good at what you do.

NIT Trichy irrespective of any branch is a decent college. They have a healthy competitive environment, good placements, and also the best in peer groups.

The placement companies in NIT Trichy are also the core companies like JSW, Reliance, Schlumberger, TATA Steel, ORACLE, and many others. Many students are placed in core companies. One of the students is also interning at Google, California, and has an on-campus placement offer from Flipkart. Now, it's you who need to work hard and do justice to your branch.
The core branches don't offer you a high package in the initial stage but provide a direct income as the facilities in these branches are provided by the company. So, in all, it's almost the same as when in non-core companies you have a high package and then you have to spend on all the facilities. So, think wisely about that.
Also, for metallurgy, NIT Trichy is better than the colleges which have the working field for the core jobs like NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Raipur, etc. because the activities provided at NIT Trichy will overpower that.

Now, decide the college considering all these points.
