RCSS is the right place for you!

Remarks :

The admission process is quite simple and hard at the same time. Hard if you have scored less than the eligibilty colllege expects. Its purely on merit basis where you must score above 90 % for your 12th examination results. Even for students who have applied for management seat they would consider only students who scored at least 80%. The application forms can be found on their official website and can be applied online. Their admission procedures are quick before any colleges so start applying as soon as you get the results I received the call from RCSS first before any colleges and after all the procedures and admission is when I started getting calls from other colleges I applied for.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because of the course structure which includes B.Com integrated with professional studies such as CA/CMA/ACCA. Here, in RCSS you have to take up any of these professional courses as additional, not just the degree course and I chose ACCA. Of course, you need dedication and motivation to take the two courses and study them simultaneously within three years but it is worth it as you have a degree as well as a professional qualification within just three years and you are industry-ready. Believe I have come to know so many seniors who have cleared all the papers and passed from college with flying colors and been placed in the big 4s. You can check out more about them on their official Instagram page [rcss.live]. Talking about faculties, all our teachers recruited here come with high qualifications some even have taken their PHDs, CAs, etc. The faculties are excellent because they provide support & give appropriate guidance to students to pursue their dreams.

Internships Opportunities :

As I mentioned before, the companies that come to recruit in RCSS are mostly MNCs with quite good packages. Many of my seniors have been placed in KPMG, EY GDS, Wipro, and Amazon in various roles such as tax associates, tax analysts, etc with good packages. The placement procedures goes long way and give good effort for them to grab these opportunities. The placement procedures go differently according to the department you are in [ B.Com, BBA, PG ] and also the companies and roles offered.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As the course includes not just the degree but also the professional course the fees are quite high the highest being for ACCA. This is because ACCA is a UK-based course and examinations the books for which are imported from the UK. And not to mention the teachers who assist or teach us for the ACCA papers are international faculties too. It comes to around 2 lakh something per year for B.Com plus ACCA. Also, there are scholarships which you can avail. When I joined, after the first few weeks I received emails regarding the scholarships you can apply for to the college which these scholarships were government based. The main highlight of RCSS is the amazing placements you get to go with. MNCs like the Big 4s and other multinational companies come for placement in our college and I have seen many of my seniors being placed at Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc with good packages these attractive placements is also one of the reasons why I chose this college over others.

Campus Life :

Even though the college focuses mostly on academics, they are not behind in other co-curricular activities and in fact give almost equal consideration to them too. Recently, I went on a 2-day Outbound Training program conducted for second-year students, and needless to say, it was worth the trip. We had so much fun at the same time learning important lessons on leadership skills and teamwork. This training program was an exposure to give a practical experience on what it's like to be working as a team because in the corporate world you do not do the tasks alone but work with a team of various diversities and cultures and have to adapt accordingly. Talking about the library, the library has immense books mainly useful for research purposes. Most postgraduate students make use of the library for research purposes. The library also includes computer resources on one floor which is extremely useful for us ACCA students as we get to practice our computer-based examinations there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Com (Cooperation) is the leading course for those who are choosing to develop a career in Banking Sector. Most of the students are forecasted and join this course to reach the above goal Mainly the subjects are theory and problem-solving oriented rather than practical. Bit tough same time decent portions to cover up The exam and the Certification are facilitated by the University of Kerala. Comparatively, this certification is one of the best across Kerala The examination will conduct in a yearly way (Nowadays it has been changed to a Semester level)

Since I am a first-year student I don't have the exact knowledge about placements happening in the college. I think the students placed from my branch (b.com) are below 50% percent of the whole class. This is just an assumption after my research. My plan is to take MBA after this degree but it may change in the future.

Placement Experience:

Only from the last semester, we are eligible for campus placements. Only ver few students are selected among from us for campus interviews. There is no much companies visited and no offers made. The average package as per company is 20000. the percentage of students getting placement is very low in our college. My plan is to join a higher course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty: We have the best teachers, and they teach us very well. They are very lovable, caring, and helpful, and they have a lot of knowledge. The teaching quality was good. The course is not curriculum-relevant. All the semester exams are difficult. 35% is the pass percentage. Placements: 50% of students got placed in this course. The highest package offered is 4 LPA, the average package is 2 LPA, and the lowest package is 1 LPA. Digital Campus Recruitment is the only recruitment in our college. 80% of students got internal hp. This course is good and easy to study. The college should improve the washroom facilities. Many events like college fest, etc., are conducted here. Most of the students got admission here, and many students are working in different media. There are no placements from our college. Many news channels hire students. This is one of the best colleges for media study at Kerala University.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Majlis College are quite robust, With Nearly 72% of students getting placed in various fields across the country, from the 6th semester onwards, students become eligible for campus placements. The highest package offered in the past few batches has been around INR 2 LPA, and the average salary offered has been around INR 0.8 - 1 LPA. After completing the course, the students can pursue higher studies. Those who want to take up a job can find several opportunities in the banking sector, finance sector, IT sector, and in other areas. They can also opt to become a chartered accountant or a business analyst.
